Included in those recommendations was strong advice to the board that they carry out a feasibility study into the implementation of an Enterprise System. It was recommended to LG Electronics in the context of their knowledge management and information flow and how this could lead to sustained competitive advantage. This report will form part of that feasibility study that we recommended to the board.

The LG Electronics Enterprise System (ESS) project is being conceived by SANS, China-based firm LG Electronics, to help develop an integrated grid solution for the commercial sector. Based on new research and development techniques and technical knowledge gained over many years, the ESR framework is expected to deliver a powerful and efficient, fully connected computing system where data and voice are stored, processed, and analysed on a huge array of devices.” The ESS system will be designed around existing, distributed, networked, and scalable enterprise, smart home, cloud computing, smart cloud, and more.
