Politics and power relationships in organization have life cycles that continue to change as new management, new politics, and new environments arise. Forces that affect organization power have a profound change on the organization itself. One of the reasons this paper will attempt to do is showcase organization life cycles based on the power theory alone. How does the life cycle appear, it shows by the up-down slope of power around the organization. It shows how no matter if the name of the person change, that theory and respect power gains always survives. As technology improves and new theories come, the form of power develops and evolves itself. Power has its roots in the economics field, the sociology field, the law field, even political science.
Organizations have been viewed from two different perspectives or viewpoints. That organizations are made for those whom they are to serve and make money for, also how they can garner superiority over the members that are intertwined in the organization. These members and *to be served* are looked at from those of internal and external systems powers. For instance external is viewed sometimes as behavior. This is perhaps the one most influential factors, Nicole Papa of Ehow columnist sums it up,
“External – Family Life Employees family life can have a direct impact on their behavior. If theres a conflict in the family life, it can affect the employees behavior at work. The employee may respond negatively to criticism at work and interaction with the leadership. Happiness at home can result in a motivated and happy employee.
External – Business Relationships
Other business relationships have an impact on employee behavior. For example, if a company has a partnership with another business and the other business has high expectations, employees may respond in their performance because of those high expectations.
External factors such business relationships and family life plays a foundational role into what is to be expected of a leader in a power role. In other respects, power comes from groups that combine to reach a certain goal. These groups also known as coalitions ( think NATO), fight and try to out think one another to have their presence felt the most. In respects to external power, external coalition has one powerful domination force. For instance in most internal coalitions, the United States is at the forefront of these. They have the dominant power role in the group.
Even in external coalitions, there can be division amongst them as to how and what the direction of the group should be. For instance, due to recent uprisings in the middle east, Syria and other Arab countries have become hotbeds of turmoils.
