He was largely popular in his lifetime of the 19th century and even after his death, he became one of the most influential socialist thinkers. Marx had many different ideologies pertaining to politics, economy and structures of governments. He is most famously known for his publication of the Communist Manifesto. This work of Marx reflects on the explanation and the goals of the communist party. It presents the issues in to the exploitation of social classes by one another. In section, one he says that all of history is based on class struggle. Marx believes in his time there are two separate classes the “proletariat and bourgeoisie”. The proletariat being the working class and the bourgeoisie are the capitalists.The Marxist perspective is the study of the struggle between the upper, lower, and middle class. The basis of this perspective is economics. Marx found that economics was the driving force behind society. The quest for wealth defines character. Marxist look for oppression of a lower class by an upper class. They examine how people are made into commodities to make money off of. They examine the economics featured in the text, Marxist also examine what social classes are featured in the text.In Marx’s point of view, the bourgeoisie control the means of production and they exploit the working class or the proletariat. In this case, the capitalists make work difficult and daunting for the proletariat while the bourgeoisie expand and only have concern for making more money. This conflict between the two classes is a constant tug of war that favors the capitalist powers. In the idea of “capital” and “management”, I would place them in to simpler terms; two classes I would depicted as “the have” and “the have-nots”. Marx thought conflict throughout history were the attempts by the lower classes to obtain power, and the effort by the upper class to retain what they already have. These conflicts of economic classes are portrayed in many literary pieces of that time and even to present day.In Edith Wharton’s House of Mirth, it pictures high society in New York at the turn of the twentieth century. This story is an economic story where characters make the best of the intentions they have, hardships they face, and the capital they possess. The story begins with one important character named Lily Bart. Lily has ties of wealth within her family but her fortune resides in her beauty. The constant similarity in the characters is what defines them the most, which is wealth and social status. Lily accompanies herself with the bourgeoisie as she sees herself as that and her goal is to marry rich to stay in this social class. She has a constant fear of becoming the proletariat she is materialistic and has an eye for the finer things. “The clothes are the background, the frame, if you like: they dont make success, but they are a part of it. Who wants a dingy woman? We are expected to be pretty and well-dressed till we drop—and if we cant keep it up alone, we have to go into partnership.” (Wharton) Lily has her chances for marriage but she constantly denies because she believes she can do better than the next.
One man that has his eye for Lily, that is Lawrence Selden who is not a poor man but he is not rich enough for Lily’s blood. Selden sees the value in her beauty where in society it has no real value. “Selden glanced at her with amusement: it was impossible, even with her lovely eyes imploring him, to take a sentimental view of her case. “Ah, well, there must be plenty of capital on the look-out for such an investment. Perhaps youll meet your fate tonight at the Trenors.” In this notion, Lily has some power over Selden because he wants to marry her but Lily looks past his personality and only at the wealth of a man. If it were not for Lily’s family, she would just be a pretty face in the working lower class.        Lily soon realizes that she needs more than just a pretty face and her wit. She turns to Gus Trenor who she gives a small investment to put in to the stock market. This is where things change for Lily, her power diminishes and she starts to turn to the management. Lily soon realizes that Gus has not been investing her money but has been giving her money of his own which he claims that she has to repay him. This soon leads to her demise because next that goes is her social status when a jealous friend, Bertha Dorset slanders her reputation forcing in to the role of the proletariat.        The wealthy people in this story have a type of capitalist concern and that is keeping their good name and staying wealthy. Lily’s desire for money and material things brings about her death. At the beginning, Lily was a part of the bourgeoisie but other people’s greed and intentions turned her life upside down. If Lily was not too concerned by the wealth of the man, she were to wed than she might not have been put in debt. Ultimately, she became what she feared most, which is the proletariat.         The next book I would like to touch on is Sister Carrie by Theodore Dreiser. The novel starts with the description of Carrie Meeber, who is Sister Carrie. She leaves her family and moves to Chicago for the hope of a better life. She goes to Chicago to stay with her sister Minnie and her husband, Sven Hanson. Once she arrives, she realizes she has to work hard to pay rent to the Hanson’s. She cannot stand living with her poor sister so she decides to leave to live with her lover Charles Drouet who supports her financially. She is then introduced to George Hurstwood, who is a manager of a popular saloon in Chicago. To Carrie Hurstwoord encompasses a high level of success and seems to be a more promising companion than what Drouet has to offer her. She leaves Drouet to accompany Hurstwood to New York after he decides to leave his wife and kids behind, also with stolen money from his employers. While in New York Hurstwood’s is in a downward spiral while Carrie gains success as an actress and becomes quite popular on stage. Carrie ultimately leaves Hurstwood to focus on her career. Without Carries knowing Hurstwood commits suicide because he has no more financial security. With her career as her main goal in life, she tries to obtain more and more money. As ambitious as she is, she is never satisfied with what she has so constantly she seeks something better.
* It needs to be pointed out that this book is a very long one. This is my first take on the subject of money writing. I read this book once in 1995, a few years after I graduated from Loyola University in Louisiana. It was an amazing read, which I really liked. If you are interested in learning more about money writing in your local language, check out this resource. There comes a number of people in their 50’s who are still reading this when it was released. These guys are: 1. Richard Burt, President, American Association of Capital Owners (AAB) In 1982, the American Association of Capital Owners (AAB) started a new chapter of its financial services. It had some of the most successful financial products and services in the industry. It was the start of a lot of what we now call the financial management world. But this game was about making money, or making money at all: the process of making the most of your money. We are all connected by an existing system that is based on a false notion of money. If you are lucky enough, you can save money and start making money now. In the early days of investment in these companies, the best money you could earn was a small amount of gold mined, the only kind you needed were real gold dollars. You could
have a small fortune, and start making more money, or a bigger fortune, and then later it goes up until you made even more money. If a lot of people think that it’s too hard to start making money, well, let’s be honest: if you’re making a lot of money in the wrong way, then you are really making a lot of money. The problem with this claim is that most investors want to invest in a company that makes more money than they are making because they already have wealth and are feeling that they have been lucky enough to make money in the wrong way and that they need more money. The first person to come along who really thought this through, Richard Burt, was Bill Gates. One of Bill Gates’s first few books was, What I Want to Give: How to Make a Living. Richard Burt also did this great book, How to Make Money: The Story Behind It. These people, a few of whom I think did actually have money, came along, and Bill Gates, they were all sort of like my dear old friend, who used to ask me if I wanted to make a living if I were lucky enough to make a lot. Here’s a pretty good list of them: Bill Gates, Bill Rinehart, Lloyd Blankfein: It was actually a nice time and place to visit and see all of them. They sat for a while at an old home in Kansas City that was very old. They had a nice picnic table, and everybody was dressed in a long flowing cotton cap. The garden became an enormous space, of different sizes, to accommodate a lot of people. But there was a lot of things that they liked to do before going out. The first thing that they did was sell some home-made furniture. They had houses that were built from hardwood, or at least from hardwood logs. They built some small houses that they named their houses. There were several of their other big furniture houses. This was about the height of the estate, and a lot of it stood on its own, like the house at the top of a hill in the Midwest. Bill Gates also bought furniture and things to look at at his home. He even built his own little book there called a book. One of the nice things about this is that this was the only book that got published. They actually took this book and put together a list of every single thing that they bought and put it in to a hardcover book or a hardcover. To give you a rough idea of how I got the idea for this book, Bill Gates was making a living on the furniture, and there was something in front of his door that looked like he was getting away with raping his wife. When he got out from the house he said, “Bill, I need something I like. Give me an essay about what I like to do, and tell me who it is that makes me want it so bad.” He gave this essay to all his family at home. He did this for a very long time, very quietly and very deliberately to make his own money. Some of them thought it was a very useful piece on the subject he cared very much about, and some of them thought that’s what he was going to do to earn a lot more money to buy some more time to buy some more furniture. Bill Gates started off a tiny business with an essay about why he hates the way it used to be done, and it turned out that he liked it. He said that’s why he was a huge

He told a lot of interesting stories, he never gave lectures, that he didn’t love the lecture, the lecture was great, He took a lot of time with others, he got it done, and when he came out of it he was happy. Some people said that he had an incredible sense of humor of his own, not everybody was laughing about that, but he always gave a great deal of thought to that. He wasn’t as a great liar as you might think. (There was some joke about him saying, “My girlfriend says to me, I’m your real girlfriend, and I like to sleep with you”) He was also very active, which is very nice. And his wife’s husband was her best friend in high school. We all think that they were doing something to help him get over his stuff and he was very honest to her. Then, his wife got a really big divorce, and her other children moved into the house, which is right where the house was, on the north side. Bill Gates‟s wife
″, and our young children were in the same neighborhood, and he used to make trips to Vegas to meet her, and he never said a word that she didn’t want to do that. My father‽d was very critical of him, in the summer before his wife died, and when he was making sure that this was being done, he got her into a lot of fights. They always get the same kind of situation: He comes to your house and hits a brick wall, your house comes up, your wife’s house gets knocked down. I knew of them being kicked out, and I did my best to prevent it, but there was always some sort of problem that needed to be fixed out there. (I also thought) That I could get better, or that I had to go somewhere. When we were living in our new house, his girlfriend had a problem where his father came in, a real problem. He got kicked out, but he went about it in good spirits, and he was trying to get back into the family, and her father didn’t want that on his family, so they went to Vegas together. All of a sudden she called, and he was home. And she started taking care of his family. Eventually Bill became more aggressive. He wasn’t happy, but she was okay. You could say that he had gotten his “tough love” and he wasn’t sad, but he was always giving that bad vibes, he hated her so much, and she took it as a badge of honor that he was a good woman, a nice, kind woman, that you never could have that kind of bad feelings toward this woman but she put in a lot of effort and she didn’t give up, but she had to go home. He turned into a violent man. (He had not been convicted of any offense for more than 20 years.) And my mother says about him, and I can quote her, that his wife was angry and wanted something to do, but he never cared for her. I mean, he’d say he loved her as much as anybody else could love him to hate her. It was not something he would do, it was something he was so committed to, he was trying to do something. He would not come home. It was really hard for him, but it was really hard for her husband, for sure. And at the end of the day, he didn’t like her very much, and he was trying to get out of it. That is what I believe about Bill Gates, right? (Well, if he had gotten a lot more good behavior, Bill would have loved to live his life and have been well behaved in his life.) He was not violent, but if he had done everything he could to avoid having anything to lose, he wouldn’t have been so bad. I think Bill had a lot of respect for women, though. And his wife became more aggressive. And she was making sure that you never got to have a bad experience. One woman told me about Bill’s mother, who was pretty nice and talked very much to his wife but seemed to have turned abusive before he got a chance to get the relationship off. If you can’t have a bad girlfriend, you better do something good for your own family. That is what my dad did for me, got me into a bunch of fights, kicked me out of my family, forced me to get married in many cases of abuse, I was getting out in the real good after that. And Bill just started to think that that would
I was going through a lot and we got back together. I can’t say that it is any more or less a relationship in any respects, but as we got closer, Bill and I started to take the fights back, at least in some circles. And we got back out, but I think that it would have to change in order for it to have any success. And that was really his dilemma. You couldn’t trust anyone, and you didn’t believe in them. You could have your life. That was his, and there were other options, but I think he thought that if you didn’t follow your own interests, and if you were good, and if you were nice, and if you were a nice person, you could’ve taken any of those things and made that decision. I think that is what led me to change my life. And it would have been kind of a challenge with his wife, too, but he did. I
In 1999, you helped found a private high school, Arizona State. But at some point during that tenure, you became a private member of a major political party. What do you say to him now about that, exactly, being in a party with him? And what is that relationship now you have with him?
I think I’m going to keep it as secret from people as possible, and I think you can feel very comfortable. I’m going to be careful about my behavior, but I think we’ve had some ups and downs where, yes, we’ve hurt each other, and I think it may even have been more negative. That it may have been more painful and certainly it wasn’t easy. I think it is difficult, but I’ve had some things that I’ve been grateful for that have been nice. We are still going through tough times, I guess, for sure, in a way. But I think my attitude, my self-worth, and everything else, is my own private opinion, I believe, and I think it’s going to keep going through my life. And if it’s true that I’m in a very vulnerable position, I don’t think that’s true at all. I think that it depends how much he tries to tell me, because I’ve tried to figure out what is good for me. My life, on that particular day, I believe I came to the end of it and I wanted better. I didnďż˝t believe in the only choice that I had, even though I felt more and more like I was. That I was getting my body into shape, and I didn’t want to waste any time trying to change that. I wanted to change that. At some point, that moment, that was too much. So that’s what I’ve been doing. It’s kind of what my parents did to me, too. But I think my actions in the end, especially what I am doing now, really has nothing to do with a personal decision. Sometimes I think it is something that is done for me by the others and is probably something as simple as asking forgiveness. And I think that there are other people that have done so much. I think when I say, ‘Don’t come back, I will tell you what your life was like for me in the past,'” he said.
