EXPLAIN HOW IT HELPED YOU.NAME : JOEADVEN MATIUS Sometimes or so often good advice is forgotten and ignored. It sounds easy to say peacefully resolved the problem and challenges. But on the real world, it is so hard to face the path ways. Sometimes the pain is so great. Sometimes it is painful. However, I have received so many great advice over the years from my family especially my father, friends and books. Several years ago, several rather bad things happened to me. I lost my little brother, my father had a stroke illness, my mother run away from home and I had some serious relationship issues ended. Its really broke my heart and everything in my life changed. I remembered that everything will change and I realized that we have no ability to control it. All we can control is our reaction to it. I thought that there will be more changes and eventually one will be positive. I worked with the change. I adapted to it and let myself be moved by what was happening, rather than trying to move it. As a result, I got through the difficult period and those positive opportunities. I found my confident, achieved resolution with relationship and moved on to a new phase of my life. However, without the great advice I received, I would never have been able to survive, and moving forward in my difficult period.
Recently, after my marriage and had a daughter, I quickly realized that I have positively changed with the pieces of advice that I known and I wanted to make sure to clearly pass along to my children. Part of my role as a parent is to fill in the gaps that they don’t learn in school, after all. I dont want my children living in my passed situation without affection and proper guidance. I am so lucky that I have good friends who are supportive of me, specially my father, my family and my loving wife. I found some of the advices to be very useful and some perhaps not so useful. Here are some useful pieces of advice that have served me very well in many different aspects of my life. They have helped my career, my personal relationships, my finances, and my personal growth as well. Through my experience taught me a lot about life. My fathers advice was so true and applicable. It gave me hope that when bad things happened to me or things dont turn out the way I want them because of my fathers advice, I understood it was for a reason. I followed it also because throughout my life it was easy to find situations where I could get very upset. Since I was a little boy I always heard my father say everything happens for good reason. I heard his say it both for the good and the bad things that happened. Hearing his telling me this when he saw me upset made me put it in my mind and apply it in my everyday life. Finding myself in small situations being mad like being rejected by a friend. I remember always getting mad at myself, people or even God. The time that my mother leave us and my father still in his stroke illness, I was really mad because I blamed myself, other family members and even God with what is happening in my life. But, this days thanks to God I have been changed because my fathers advice was so true and applicable. Now rather than just worrying myself why things always dont work out as I expected. I learned not to give in or give up easily in every situations I found myself in but always I try to see beyond what is in front of me or try to focus on the positive sides of situations.
