My Dog
Hello. I see that so many people have dogs and ehy do they? Is it too comfort them when. They are lonely, to reminisce of a previous family dog? I know many people who have dogs to tell their secrets to as crazy as that sounds.I can list many reasons why someone or a family should possess a dog. They bring hours of joy and entertainment. They provide you companionship and unconditional love for many years. They bring so much happiness into a person’s life and each pet owner you ask will have many reasons why they have a dog or dogs. But this is not what I am talking about.
Why have a dog? Well, I can tell you this much. I run into a number of people that have a dog for ALL the wrong reasons. The kids want a dog. The neighbors have a dog so we have to have one too, (Maybe that last statement is my personal opinion.) But I see people that have pets and don’t give them the time or put in the energy into the dog that they need.
I’m going to paint a picture here for you of the most common factor that happens when people adopt a dog.
Some people don’t spend the time and do the proper research on the type of dog that best fits their lifestyle. They or their kids see a cute dog on a TV show or in a movie and think that breed of dog would be great to have. So they find a breeder, usually a puppy mill dog or not a reputable breeder and they usually don’t check out the area rescues, but we won’t get into that topic at this time.
They bring home this little bundle of fur that probably doesn’t weigh as much as 10 pounds that is just so cute and funny. The kids think he or she is great and the adults treat this bundle of fur like a new baby just brought home from the hospital.
