Well here it is. The end of the road.
Hi again old friend. Its been a while, but I never forgot about you. This is where it all started and this is where it should all end, well, for me at least. At least for now.
In my little lull between careers, I learned a lot about blogging, running your own website, and making money online. I also learned quite a bit about community building. After three months of working on and managing a system that caters to a niche community, Ive come to realize a few things. Id like to share them. Hopefully it will be enriching to anyone else looking into making a little extra income online.
1. Make sure you work on something you really enjoy
Find a hobby that youre already doing, or find a new hobby that you really want to commit to. If youre passionate about it people will follow you.
If you love it, it makes it seems less like work. If you dont love it, you just simply wont dedicate the amount of time it takes to make something awesome. Worse, youll probably give up once its no longer interesting.
Make sure youre not just in it for the money. If you are, and you dont see the income rolling in within a few months, youre likely to give up. Time equals money, right? So with more time, you will obtain more money, especially if youre passionate about it.
