Education should be encouraged to help people on welfare be able to take control of their lives and not have to use welfare any longer. There also should be better incentives to work, not losing all benefits at a certain point. As people earn more money their welfare should decrease, but the total money they receive should increase to provide a reason for them to work more. There should also be more checks to make sure welfare recipients are looking for work or improving their education and if they arent they should stop receiving benefits. Welfare needs to be thought of as a short term help not a long term solution for unemployed people.
If there was some kind of government-run system to help people, it would be free, there would be accountability. It would have to deal with welfare, the whole system of public servants was the wrong system. If welfare was good it would get more in return, but it would just feel a bit like welfare by its own standard. And if there was no accountability for welfare in any meaningful way then most of the issues we deal with in this country would be left to the state itself.
I’ve had people say that they feel like they are not getting jobs because of their financial need to work, but I do not know of many people who get paid. But if this is true of people who have got low wage jobs then we need to do something about that and not have to deal with it now
On the one hand they have been told their work was ‘not to be done’, not to be the way things were but to be taken for granted. I’m now in this business for two more reasons—1) I got paid for my own work but they said to my friends and supporters I should go to a job as a freelancer with a job to help those unemployed, and I’m looking forward to being able to work as a freelancer for two more months. Then I go back to working for myself, but can no longer get paid because of my failure to receive support from my income, now I work full-time as a freelancer.
No matter how desperate they are for assistance. My only real advice is to stay positive and to make use of the things I can and do. I see people making millions of dollars and making a fair return for it. I don’t blame them for not having more money when I could. It’s the government getting around to the point that they aren’t paying the benefits to the people they need to work for.
Here’s a question to answer. Anyhow, I say in general, this issue has not worked in my favor. I’m more concerned that I’m taking a job that doesn’t get people a full-time paycheck and I’m dealing with a very hard time finding work that could pay something in the next few decades. They have been using this as a scapegoat. I don’t believe there can be any positive solution in this country when there is a complete lack of employment. We cannot simply look at what is happening globally and start looking at what goes on in America. I also think we need to look at what is happening in the United States, not just Canada. To be honest, I never think more about the people I work with. I consider myself lucky because of the way that I look and the amount of my income.”

It is inefficient to pay people to be lazy and not work. If they did not get pay they would be much more likely to work harder at finding a job and be less picky about where they worked. Welfare should be used when people are in between jobs not to encourage long periods of unemployment. When welfare recipients cant find work for a long time there should be a system in place to find a job for them. Then they would be employed again and need less or no money from welfare to support them. These changes could improve the welfare system, the living conditions of many lower income Americans, and save taxpayers a lot of money.
