EssayMy name is …….., and I am going to Beedie School of Business at SFU this fall to start my Bachelor of Business Administration. My career goal is to become a Business Analyst after finishing my studies and start my own business in something that is trending at that time. This scholarship will help me a lot to take my first step towards my life goal, and there are a lot of reasons for which I think I am a deserving recipient of this scholarship.I think I am deserving of these scholarships is because I do many extracurricular activities. I have done a lot of physical activities from grade 10 to 12. I am taking P.E. in school for last 4 years, doing dance at BC Cultural Bhangra Academy for last 4 years, and doing taekwondo for last 3 years. P.E. is one of my favourite courses in school; this is the only course that I wait for everyday. Moreover, dance is my not a skill that I want to learn, but it is my passion. After a lot of hard work and dedication, I achieved the trophy of being the best dancer in 2016 at the annual function of BC Cultural Bhangra Academy. Additionally, Taekwondo is also not something that I just want to learn for self defense, but also for fun and knowledge. Taekwondo has taught me integrity, Courtesy, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit (the five tenants of taekwondo) which I believe will stay with me for the rest of my life leading me to go in the right way. I also achieved a silver medal (2nd place) in the taekwondo tournament that I participated in 2016. These activities not only make me fit, but also teach me a lot of good life skills.Also, I think I am deserving of these scholarships is because I have done a lot of volunteer work. I have worked as a volunteer at BCC Bhangra Academy (7536 130 St #136, Surrey, BC) for almost 3 years (June 2015 to April 2018: 290 hours). My duties were to teach all the new dancers most of the main moves in Bhangra. It taught me a lot of skills like leadership, teamwork, motivating people, and also improved my communication skills. These are the reasons that I think I am a deserving recipient of this scholarship. This scholarship will really help me a lot in taking my first steps towards my new life.
