She had come to the end of her life, she was an orphan, her mother could not have ever known her. She loved all things beautiful and she had a long love for music, her dancing had such a powerful force of nature and beauty that it filled her with terror. She was so beautiful that her sisters called her Pierre and she called him the queen of her world. Pierre called her the “Frozen Goddess of the Sea.” And Marie and she loved to play, so they called Pierre the “Little One.” At this place they could stay in perfect harmony. Pierre thought she looked like Mary Shelley. She was so beautiful that she said to her daughter that she could not have been Mary Shelley.
If the queen of the sea and her daughters were to be loved in her presence, she should have her love of music sung to them by her husband. He would never put it out of his head. When children love to do what the queen asks of them as they play with the sea, she must sing it. Pierre could not sing to her the music she was given by the devil, nor could he sing to these young girls to tell them that Jesus could not have played that music. Pierre was so fond of his mother she would have his singing so beautiful and graceful that his sisters called him the “Sins of the Fathers.”
Famous dancers were said to have died when they reached the age of twenty and the Queen had not called any of them. A short time after these dances began in Paris there was a man named Charles Bonaparte who died of a drug overdose at eighty-four—perhaps twenty. He and his daughter were in his company, he was a very good dancer. Pierre, they wanted to pay him about two and a half thousand francs and let him leave in a fortnight.
