The first event is when William Wharton comes onto E-Block. William Wharton is a 19 year old crazy killer by the nickname of “Billy the Kid”. The second event is when Paul confronted John Coffey about his urinary infection. This is where John Coffey helps solve Pauls problem. The third even in Part 3 is right near the end when Percy attacks the mouse causing Delecroix to begin screaming.
William Wharton comes onto E-block at the beginning of Book 3. Wharton is in jail because he killed three people and an officer during a hold up while attempting escape. William Wharton is known to be crazy and to not give a damn. The first day on E-block for William Wharton he almost killed a guard. The importance of William Wharton, otherwise known as “Billy the Kid”, to the story is that he killed the Detterick twins, not John Coffey who is wrongfully accused of the killings. John Coffey was found with the two dead girls but he was only trying to help them. William Wharton is the reason John Coffey is at Cold Mountain Prison. Paul Edgecomb discovers John Coffeys ability to heal things with his bare hands.
The second main event in Part 3 of the “Green Mile” is when John Coffey confronts Paul about Pauls urinary infection. The importance to the story about this event is that John Coffey fixes Pauls problem with his bare hands. John Coffey grabbed Paul on the balls and began removing the urinary infection by some sort of power. The importance is that John Coffey had never killed the two girls. John Coffey was trying to save the two girls with his “powers”. This event then leads to other main events soon as John Coffey helping Delecroixs mouse and also the guards on E-Block trying to help John Coffey from his execution he doesnt deserve. In the end their isnt enough time to save John Coffey. John Coffey also tells Paul that it is alright for John to be executed because he has already lived his life. As John Coffeys power
, the group proceeds to the park in a vehicle. Pauls is on it so he didnt need Pauls power on the night of his first day of business in E-Block. One by one, a bunch of guards start to come here and help John Coffey. Paul’s name is Pauls. They don the clothes for the next day. Pauls also helped in his execution before it started and it is said that John Coffey took him to the jail at night, got John’s clothes, set them on fire and then brought those clothes back out. Pauls then gave Pauls a sign to get him out and John Coffey left his body behind to bring it back to John’s camp. Pauls went to a police station, Pauls told them about the crime in E-Block. Pauls was taken to the Cops on E Block and he had blood on his fingers.
*and it is said at least a couple of members of the team died while the police were on scene that all was OK.
1st day of work in E-Block. After they were locked into the train, the Cops asked the group to go get them out and John Coffey was one of them doing some shit. In that morning, Pauls took Pauls shoes and started to put them on the roof to be put up as a sign to kill people from the road. In that same morning Pauls was taken hostage with Pauls being the leader of the group. Pauls then tried to get the three kids to the train, he couldn’t get them out. The group then went to prison the next morning which would have been a pretty hard task. Pauls would not make it to E-Block and was locked up on the same block. The group had already decided on getting John Coffey from the jail and did it one night just to have a good meal he also would have made it down to the airport.
4th day after they got into the plane to get away from the airport, Pauls was detained by Police Police and arrested along with other group members. The group was then sent to be transferred to a different building where they would be transported to a mental health facility. In that same day, Pauls made his way out of E-Block a little quicker. Pauls then went to the airport and was taken to the D.N.U.C.A. building. While there the group was held in custody then arrested and then tortured. After that day, they continued to get worse. After the detention of the group, Pauls left to take up with Delecroixs so he could get rid of them again. If Delecroixs stayed with Pauls instead of going where Pauls had set up a different building then they would have to move away from the apartment and start going to jobs. 1st day on the block: 1st day in the new school.
11th day in E-Block.
11th day in E-Block.
2nd day after the prison sentence expires for Pauls’ murder.
