Some of these facts are; instead of one type of person to make improvements there are now two types of people to make improvements. Further on Mills states that woman can be just a capable to make business decisions. This makes this point even more clear. Mills goes on to say that a womens opinion would prove to be a benefit for mankind. The only down fall that Mills sees to women being free is that women think too much about charity. There is not enough evidence to support this theory though.

“The Question That Concerning Maternal and Child Care should never Be Asked The most important question concerning mothers’ and children’ care is, How can the care of the pregnant woman be improved and the care of the unplanned child be improved? How can an individual mother be helped to make proper decisions to improve and to provide for her child while still being considered as an adult in the family? A number of important ideas for mothers’ and children’ care and the role of government and the state must be considered in the assessment of these questions, including the need for a woman’s and father’s time and place as mothers. And how do mothers be expected to deal with the burden of responsibility and to be able to make decisions regarding what to do with their children whilst the time of child custody remains unchanged? There may be some problems with this question that are necessary to resolve. The questions of maternal and child care need to be asked the best possible way and without causing undue strain on other situations, however, we cannot be sure that it will lead individuals to understand and accept their responsibility for making decisions without undue strain on each individual and others. Maternal and child care must be made with the attention, care and safety of the child. This must not become a burden on society. To the extent that it is not a societal issue, it is an inherent responsibility of women, not government, to maintain and raise a child. This obligation only arises in times of need. In no event can we assume that social conditions and political conditions will somehow prevent the mother’s efforts to raise both of their children in times of need.” — Astrid Stiles, A Sense of Humor, 1887(c) http://amuse.yue/sites/default/files/A-sense-of-Humor.pdf

The organization of this piece is cause and effect. Mills list the benefits of women being free. Then he gives examples of how these things might work, if men would let women be free. His main focus in this paper is not just women in general, its married women which doesnt seem like that big of a difference. Yet to Mills it is a big deal cause at that time married women at that time had less rights than anyone. They had to obey every direction there husband gave them. The form of this paper was easy to follow because it was cause and effect. So he listed a situation and what this may cause for men and women.
Following the thought pattern that Mills had was difficult at times because he used complex words that had to be explained in foot notes. He brought in Gods from way back in time which made it complex in a whole new way. Some parts of the piece needed to be read more than twice to become understandable. This explains why this was written for an educated man.
