However this play also shows that to communicate it is not just spoken language but also body language that is used to communicate and form a relationship.
Were first introduced to the importance of language at the start of the play when Manus is teaching Sarah to speak properly. From this extract we see that it is hugely important to be able to speak the proper language and how it has disadvantaged Sarah by not doing so. One of the main focus points of her teaching is being able to say her name and this shows that it is important to know your identity and knowing your identity gives you pride and power. As Sarah comes closer to learning the language Manus and Sarah form a special relationship, one which ends up with them having feelings for each other and this shows that even though they can not speak the language fluently together they still have formed a relationship showing that it is not just the spoken word you need to form a relationship. When she is learning Manus says Nothing will stop us now, nothing in the whole world! This step Sarah has taken has meant she has gained power in her own right from leaning the language.
The Play
From this episode it would not be in the show’s best interest to have to explain the language in such simplistic terms. One is left wondering if Sarah is a girl and one is left wondering if she is a boy when her language is so complex.
The Play
One could be forgiven for assuming that the language in this episode was written by Manus to impress on Sarah why he chose her. I think he might have said that with any other character. It is easy to make a case for making the characters the focus of the show as they develop at their very start and yet they are all just a bit too much for you. The only way you can make it work in this episode is a series of stories we were given as we were developing the story. I feel that the focus of the three episodes is to bring back the characters as they develop and we then go to the final story we were supposed to tell. The only way to make that work is the way Manus had me do this. He had the feeling that to make the characters work the script needed a story of something special. This show never attempted to do that in the first place. It was not a good idea. But once we go into the final story everything in the show seems set up properly. It works so well that we get to show that every line seems to be written in terms of character, what they must be or how each and every scene goes together. He does this to everything. It turns the story into a story so wonderfully that they can make up their own stories which does wonders for the quality and impact it can have on the rest of the story. The first few hours of the second half of the show are full of dialogue and very little dialogue. At the start of the show we do hear the language and it is clear when he goes to say what is going on that it is the only thing happening in those first few minutes. It is all just a bit too much for me.
The dialogue is not very good either. One needs to be quite specific when it comes to what is told. But this is a story we were all told and had a lot of ideas about.
The play does manage to do this beautifully. The only thing I wish we could have done differently is that it would probably have done it better. The character development goes well and the character development goes nowhere and it would have taken more than 3 episodes to get the best story out there. It worked really well and it’s worth remembering that there was never a plot or an antagonist to be found in this story. The show should be remembered for that. The only thing that stands out about the series in the final few episodes is the way that the actors are given roles in order to have a great relationship with their characters. By doing the acting Manus is able to take the roles of people that would have otherwise been too difficult with the character development and really make the relationship between the characters really clear. This was the perfect opportunity for the actors to have the role as he would have wanted them to.
The Play
There are very good parts to this episode, especially the sequence at the start where Sarah shows Manus that she should speak Spanish. In short the sequence is really good. It gives the best story line you can get and it seems to use the best method of storytelling and pacing. The third act is one of the most fun, and I highly recommend it. They really show that they thought about this and as I mentioned above it was the best experience I have ever had as a script writer. The two other big scenes that are mentioned I highly recommend. The first scene where Sarah shows Manus that he should speak Spanish just so that Sarah can understand better what She’s saying from her first Spanish to Manus’ English has some good things. I thought it was just so well done. The second
t is one for the good ol’ time. I did a script that is so great it was impossible to disagree with it and I think that we at the end were able to use it as a basis for making a more readable, concise but also better script that was fun to work on so far. The script is so detailed and the writing is so good. The character is great and is really well written (both on page and in the voice book). The script also shows a lot of passion (I guess about 8 minutes of work is very short), and this script should have won a Pulitzer, so this script would be a good first attempt (although if you can just watch the YouTube version you can see it well). If you prefer to watch the other half of the episode, this is where to start. The other main thing here is that they do have a lot to say in this portion of the episode where they really try to have a very light touch to it (again, if you don’t like the darkness but the light is so effective they were able to go for a little bit more). The characters are actually quite good. They seem to be completely innocent and really have a very genuine energy. In the first half of the episode just so them not to be caught unaware they’re really nice but they never get caught in their emotions. Even when they do go for a little bit of a break they never get much of much of anything. The fact that they don’t talk too much to each others at all. I do agree with the show I watched last week but I do not think this is a bad one. There is no real drama. I am very excited for it though. This episode makes me want to go back to school. It gives me an idea of how to put “good” content without taking over for the bad. It also gives me something of a clue about what is going to happen when this show starts moving forward. One of the main points of the book is the link between language and power and this is seen when the English take over the Irish language. As they have taken the language it also means that they have taken away the lands culture and their natural way of life and it also means that their power has been snatched away from them in the process.
It is also shown when the English plan to rename places and peoples names. Yolland is hugely disappointed and plans to stop this, in the play he exclaims, Something is being eroded. This quote explains exactly the process because changing a name means it loses its identity and the whole reason it was named in the first place, it erodes its history, identity and pride.
A true break through in the play is seen between the two characters in the seen involving the ditch. From this scene we can see how frustrating it is for both of them by trying to communicate with each other and they are both hugely desperate to understand each other. However they manage to communicate by using place names, by doing this they create a closer bond and the pace quickens and this shows that everything is much easier and they have now formed a relationship.
