Diary:Tuesday, 30th June, 2015The first class of Organizational Behaviour started with the introduction of our highly esteemed Professor of Leadership and Change Manager IMI, Dr. Irfan A. Rizvi. Mr Rizvi shared with us his vast experience of 23 years as a trainer, researcher and consultant in private, public, non-governmental, and multinational corporations including WHO, DFID (United Kingdom), AusAID (Australia), and SDC (Switzerland), HCL Ltd. (Reprographic Division), Faculty of Management Studies (University of Delhi), IILM Graduate School of Management, International School of Management (Dakar, Senegal), National Graduate School of Management (University of Canberra, Australia) and Shanghai University (China), and NIS Sparta (a Reliance Anil Ambani Group Company.Post the introduction session, Mr Rizvi answered to the queries of the inquisitive students of the class. After a brief pause, he instructed us to read the learning objectives and learning outcomes of the course from the reading manual provided by IMI. He then explained the learning assessment mechanism of the course in a lucid manner. I find the maintenance of a written diary concept recording the whereabouts of the past sessions to be very innovative, apt and useful.After a brief pause, Mr Rizvi instructed us to fill the SD Belief Instrument. The latter appeared to me as a psychometric test metrics evaluating a candidate across the following areas

The very first page of the power point slide presented to us a dichotomy for the topic was “Joy At Work”. The explanation was not given in the slide as the explanation section had a black background. Mr. Rizvi then instructed us to share our outlook or insight on the same. The crux of the insights provided by various students can be summarized below:
