If Management Gets a Union, It Deserves one
“If management gets a union, it deserves one.”        The statement: “If management gets a union, it deserves one”, can be taken many different ways and can also be thought of as a slap in the face to the union. Unions are formed due to poor decisions by management and/or poor working conditions, wages, etc. But you must also understand that if management is doing their job correctly then that means that there should be no reason for a union to form because management is getting the job done.         On the flip side, if management is failing then a union should form underneath management because that means that the needs of the employees are not being met. Employees need to also carry their own weight and need to understand that they can’t always be fighting for more and more. Always wanting more and being greedy can sometimes lead to worse outcomes for employees. Management and employees need to be on the same page all the time in order for things to work out. If an employee feels mistreated or underpaid, they need to go to management first and not try to bring all employees into the picture.        In conclusion, employees need to understand what they are doing before they try to form a union. Unions aren’t always for the better, yet management needs to also know and understand what’s fair and right and need to accommodate to employees and understand both sides of what is happening. The statement can be taken very deep by some or lightly by others, but as long as management is doing the right things, the employees should have no reason to unionize.
