(Render 2007) It is considered management science because the goal is to analyze problems and opportunities by using mathematical models. In some companies the quantitative analysis group or management science group are the most experiences in using quantitative methods and technical expertise. The group has adopted objective analysis, business impact, implementation, teamwork and disciplined consultative approaches as their critical success criteria. (Render 2007)
The methodology of each manager that uses quantitative methods and information is an important part of a firm’s development strategy. But it is seldom used in business because it requires a considerable number of technical people to do various tasks, while also having to communicate with each other. But the most effective way to use quantitative methods is the traditional method used by other managers. It is called quantitative management because it shows potential for improvement based on qualitative criteria, the ability to effectively manage a business and to make sure an organization is performing properly.
Quantitative management applies a concept to every issue that goes before it: a number of quantitative principles, which are the basis for a firm’s business or to be successful. It also allows a firm to provide a consistent and efficient performance plan for every issue. Every issue that is not addressed is a potential problem, and when it is addressed it is considered for implementation. The key concept of a management science group is the objective-driven approach to a business. It is also called a management scientific group because it is associated with the approach, i.e., the approach was first devised by a successful company before being adopted by another company on the ground. The goal of every management science group is the same: to ensure success for a company. The principles underpin a team, which allows teams of staff to contribute to the success of a company and to achieve the objectives of a management science group. Each of the principles apply to the various sectors. The principal principles developed by an employee will be reviewed in one direction, or will be applied with varying degrees of respect to different industries and industries and industries groups. (Render 2006) As a result of this, managers should take the following actions to take their teams and their teams’ teams in an objective direction: The following principles are applied:

As a project manager I follow a similar process when a project begins. Defining the problem at the beginning of the process is similar to my discovery meeting that I hold in order to find out all the details of the upcoming project and identify the risks. It is similar to the approach of defining the problem and being sure the correct goals and objectives are set.
