Despite the fact that marijuana is illegal, many people still continue to use it. Because of the continued illegal use, some people are beginning to wonder if marijuana is dangerous enough to remain illegal. Marijuana should be legalized. My first reason why marijuana should be legalized is because legalizing marijuana can help reduce the black market activities. Another reason is that keeping marijuana illegal doesn’t help. My last reason is that marijuana isn’t more harmful than alcohol or tobacco.

I would like to first present a few facts and figures which should dispel any fears from many who believe that legalizing marijuana to begin with is a pipe dream. My next point is based on some recent research which has been conducted in order to understand how marijuana in countries like Colombia are different from its illegal counterparts. It is common knowledge that Colombian laws do differ on marijuana policies, and so it would be a good idea to see if you can find information about other other countries where marijuana is illegal. Cue me, one of the people who came up a little last week and told me about his experience about marijuana laws. I asked him the following if I could bring any information about marijuana to him and he seemed so interested in it, I gave him my number but I never got to have a talk with him. He is a PhD candidate in computer science from the University of the Dominican Republic, he is part of a PhD student-led team led by his doctorate candidate who has been in government for over ten years. A few of the questions I asked him were, “What are your hobbies, and are you interested in studying political science?” “What are your passions? Do you believe in socialism that is based on liberty? Any of these?” They all came back positive, he replied with many questions that were asked, such as: Do you use marijuana to treat anxiety disorders? Do you ever feel bad about yourself or others regarding marijuana or something related to marijuana?
He also answered very quickly, “I am a former criminal from New York. I am very proud of my criminal record with the NYPD, but I would like to see legalization of marijuana in the United States,” and this is part of the reason why he asked.
He responded with another one of the most common questions of all, “Where is marijuana legal in your country?” As you can see, Colorado and Washington State are the two most legalized states in the country. What is your opinion on the legalization of marijuana?
With a little bit of practice, you can see the difference within your home state where you are. In your native California, your taxes donЬ¢st get higher as it is legal to consume marijuana. In some states your taxes also get higher but your taxes are much lower in other states. So if your home state taxes are over 50 per cent higher compared to where you live, why do you consider it more important to legalize marijuana?
There is something about the American experience. We have legalized drugs which is really a good story. As my own life has given way to my experiences that really affected all of us. It was the first time I was truly isolated from an entire society. I knew I would not make it home in the United States. I also knew that I was more afraid of public opinion and so it would be impossible for me to succeed in the United States if I did not stay strong to help people grow and create a healthy society. But, I was proud of the quality of life I had here so it was important to me to continue fighting against the bad influences on life. As I said to myself, I am happy with the result of my efforts. It is so important to stay strong enough to take all of your problems on me.

Marijuana should be legalized because it can decrease the activities of the black market. Marijuana dealers depend on the drugs’ illegalization to gain profit from selling (Messerli 1). By legalizing marijuana, its value would decline, eventually enough to put most marijuana dealers out of business. On the other hand, some people feel that even though it will reduce black market activities, it will not completely put the black market out of business. My answer to this is that it’s impossible to completely remove the black market from this world. However, by legalizing marijuana, we will be able to control who purchases the drug. Even though the black market will still continue survive, they will no longer be able to sell marijuana to random people.
The legalization of marijuana may have a positive effect on the overall black market. However, it won’t eliminate the black market. We can help. The main issues are that the black market is small and easily controlled, while the legalization of black market illegal drugs will change the way that marijuana sells in the black market. Also, the drug companies that use drugs that are made illegal can still profit by selling marijuana instead of marijuana for money, which will save the black market money, not money lost from the prohibition of drug trafficking. We can help make marijuana more accessible as well. Our work around the Black Market Law will be to make it legal for marijuana dealers to buy their drugs in stores and online, as well as for users to obtain them online.
