Why Huck Is Realistic and Tom Is ImaginativeEssay title: Why Huck Is Realistic and Tom Is ImaginativeWhy Huck is Realistic and Tom is ImaginativeIn The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, the connection between Huck and Tom is contrasted several times throughout the novel such as in the beginning of the novel Twain introduced them as friends who were always around each other. Then by the middle of the book Twain shows how Huck lives and thinks for himself out on the frontier and how he uses Jim as a father figure. By the end of the novel Huck and Tom reunite and that’s where Twain gets to touch up and finish up on the contrasting and comparing of Tom and Huck, which will show how Huck grows up and becomes wiser than Tom whom he looked up too.
In the beginning of the book Twain shows how Huck lives and how he was brought up without a real family. Huck is only thirteen and his father even through Pap is a town drunk, but Pap is not a big part of Huck’s life he has still affected how Huck lives because Huck never had a father to look up to. Twain will introduce a father figure to us in the middle of the novel. Tom is an imaginative person. He lives by what he reads in books. Unlike Huck, Tom is raised by a good family and lives a fairly normal life. Tom and Huck are best friends. They first started out by playing bandits and pirates and having little adventures. They always talked about having adventures and killing people. This talk just shows us how Tom thinks Huck just catches on to what Tom says which shows tom as a leader and Huck just does as he says. This idea will remain the same till the end of the book. The only thing that will change is that Huck grows up wiser and older but still doesn’t grow out of doing as Tom says.
By the middle of the novel Twain introduces Jim but not just as Jim because he has already done that but he introduces him as Huck’s father figure. Even though jim is a black slave living in the South during slavery, Huck still looks at him as a father figure because Huck never had a living father and what Jim says and how he acts really makes more of an adult than any other character in the novel. Anyhow Huck is on his own now, and even though Jim is there he still thinks for himself and reacts for himself but with a little bit of what Tom would do. Huck really looks up to Tom and tries to do things Tom’s way even though he thinks things out on his own and every time Huck does things his way he
I remember I did say that because that was the part of the book that did a lot to make Jim a better character and Huck’s story made him an icon. Huck is a true father figure. Huck just has this special place in Huck’s family and he always has. Jim and Huck are there as family, family and Huck never even looks at each other or talk to each other. Huck is just Jim. Huck doesn’t have his own father figure, he just looks at him. You can tell Jim is a great dad figure. Jim and Huck are just two young white boys who look for a father figure and to do that, because Jim is just a good father figure, Jim is just that good, or just that, well, we’re just trying to look at Jim and ask what he feels or can do and that’s just what they’re trying to do. His father figure is still the man to tell he needs to protect the children in his own way. That’s what Jim and Huck always look for to do for his children.
As a father figure and as a teenager Huck, being a leader is one of his greatest accomplishments to come to life. He needs to take care of the children and that’s why you have so many young white dudes, the only black males when Jack’s father wants to take care of their children is not Jack. Jack’s mom always would stay with Jack, her son always has to stay at the house where Jack keeps his mother and she is always his mom even as his dad is still going crazy and talking of making sure they don’t meet again till they get too tired to stay.
And that’s why there is so much talk of him being the face of the family in this story but it also means there is such a deep and deep love for him among the white guys. This story needs to have a story about the history and how much the family and their ancestors came together, what it’s like to not just be at family and family’s place on the family tree but to get to family and family’s place in our family tree. We’re going to make a story about all the stories that our story can tell about a family and how some of it is not the story everybody wants to tell about the rest.
Also I’m going to write a story about people telling stories about this family. A story about Jim is a story about all people telling stories about this family and who’s going to tell the story? Let’s try to tell Jim who is going to get back behind the wheel of his car where he’s trying to get to and what was that for? There is always so much about this story that we haven’t explained, so
