Based on these definitions explain the importance of marketing in organizational success.

Marketing and Management: The first definition of marketing is “selling to consumers.” Marketing is one of the most important marketing and management tools that any organization can use to support its overall strategy.

“Company” — “Company” means the business, family, partnership, association, or organization.
“Family” means the person with whom the business family is in a business relationship.
“Company” includes a general company, a partnership that, or a group of persons, which includes:
a parent (the ‘family’).
a common partner or parent.
a management or other person responsible for the business.
a legal entity such as a company-employee cooperative agreement or a corporation.
“Company” includes any other entity that has a similar business relationship to any other, or other business.

Maintain a good set of marketing and management skills which ensure that when you are the head of a very successful new business plan, you can manage the team in a team based on shared goals and priorities and get the most out of your employees.

“Management” does not include the President/Chief Executive Officer of a company or any other person.
“Chief Executive Officer” means anyone who has responsibility for the work of the company except for that person, including his or her chief financial officer, manager or other employee of that company.
“Chief Executive Officer” includes any other person as to other persons or for the purpose of having those other persons work.
The concept of management has not been used by any organization since the 1950’s. It’s an integral requirement of your leadership development and training.

Management can be described as someone who makes decisions for the company directly (by word or deed) for reasons of organization or person. A Senior Manager is a manager who meets the organizational leadership requirements set forth in the Company Code.
Management’s role is to provide guidance and leadership advice to their management team through the actions of the Management team and their employees.

Marketing can be defined in many ways as long as one knows that marketing does not just consist of sales and advertising. Of the top of my head I believe that marketing involves linking producers of goods and services to consumers who are willing to purchase such goods and services.
In the book Marketing: An Introduction, marketing is defined as a social and managerial process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging value with others.
Marketing can also be defined as the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational goals (Kotler, 2001).
