In this essay,I will talk about freedom of exhausion.And I will
aslo show why freedom of exhaustion is negative type of
freedom.
I believe that what Martin Luther meant by freedom of
exhausion is simply that you have reached the point where you
can do nothing more and you are free of responsibility.I can
relate that to Martin Luther article “The ways of meeting
oppression”.There was a black guitarist from atlanta used to sing
everyday “been down so long that down dont bother me “.Which
means that being as oppressed does not bother him
anymore,because he used to be down.
I believe that freedom of exhaustion is such a negative type
of freedom.because by giving up you allow the conscience of the
oppressor to sleep.And if you accept injustice or segregation
passively is like you say to the oppressor that his actions are
totally right. And by giving up your freedom is like you cooperate
with that system.
In conclusion,There are many types of freedoms some of
them are positive and some are negative.But freedom of
exhaustion such a negative type of freedom that shows you can
not do anything and helpless.
