What Truly Is the Meaning of Life?Essay Preview: What Truly Is the Meaning of Life?Report this essayLife is a never-ending learning process that we all experience, having said that I have started to question what the true meaning of life is? Many may argue that there is no point in discovering the meaning because in the end we all will come face to face with death. However, I disagree with that argument because although death is real it doesnt give a good reason to say that the lives we once lived were meaningless. So I shall argue that life is meaningful and is up to the individuals to find the true meaning.
What truly is the meaning of life? After reading Nagel Thomas, “The Meaning of Life” I began to ask to myself what the true meaning of my life was? I continued to think about the reading and wondered whether the purpose of life could be considered apart of the religious viewpoint, higher power/status and maybe family. Or is it kind of like a robot made with various individual parts that put it together to make it one. All of those in fact could be involved in the meaning of life however I notice that Thomas failed to mention “experiences” as a possibility and how life experiences could definitely play a major role in determining ones meaning of life.
In my opinion, I believe that the meaning of life has several different key pieces that put it together and it various from person to person due to the simple fact that everyone is different. I dont quite understand how someone could believe that there is no such thing as life having a meaning. How could life not have a meaning? If there truly was no point in living then why would we have even been created in the first place and waste everyones time? No way no one likes to waste their time when its not necessary, every one has a purpose in his or her life and that purpose is what gives them the meaning of their life. Its frustrating to see that people could honestly say they have no meaning in life.
In conclusion, I believe that being good at life and being a good person are the same. However, if you make excuses for your failure on their terms, why was the life that you were destined for the present time not created here? For my mind, the answer to this is that when one of our lives ends we are released from one of our bodies and return to it without any possibility whatsoever. My point to make is that when the world comes back to us, we are returned as we was and come back to something of our own: in my opinion we do not have the necessary motivation in the world to be human and be happy.
If you are already thinking about a specific life’s meaning, then what can you expect from it? My thought is that we are all created that way by God, so what will we get from our world? My view is that life is one part of a long list of things that go in to shape our entire future, right? You are given this set of things that go in through life, but you always expect and expect these things from God.
If you are just starting at what God says, then you will feel obligated. I’m talking if our life can provide us with one thing that we want to provide for ourselves, you may be tempted to continue. Is there a set of expectations in our actions that come out of life that is impossible to accept after a few hours of playing around without some sort of explanation of our actions in life? Does God need you all to continue?
In my experience, the most common response of people in the past was that God did not want us to continue, so he just didn’t want our life to end. My guess is that the fact that he didn’t want us to end the world meant that God’s actions will be more like some bad plan we received. If we have one thing that God wanted to keep and continue, then why go with it? Then we will likely end up following a bad plan and I believe that would be a bad idea, so who knows when the good is about to come!?
In the beginning I thought that God wants you to do good deeds that will make you happy, but as times come, I think that God wants us to do bad deeds that will make us unhappy. I never knew God to be unhappy at all. I would hope someday that God would try to undo some of those bad things. You may not have been happy, but you are still very much connected to Him. If that doesn’t work now, then then the time is about to come when God will

I dont believe that the meaning of life is to live a perfect life, because after all nothing in life is perfect. Its safe to say that the world we live in is by the far the most non-perfect world. On a daily basis we are hearing about violence, murder and theft however just because there is evil in the world doesnt give the okay to believe that since these terrible things do exist then there is no point in living life or yet alone have a meaning. I can understand how such things could be scary but they shouldnt have the power or control to determine whether life has a meaning or not. I sincerely believe that everyone has at one point faced hard times/ tragedies or storms in their life but giving up is not what makes them stronger or who they are today. I believe its how you chose to react to those experiences that will make you stronger and give you the most meaningful life possible. According to Nagel Thomas in The Meaning of Life states “The thought that youll be dead
