Risk AssessmentThere are a lot of things that could happen during the process of planning a beauty pageant. Not having a broadcasting network to broadcast the show is one of them. This just means that we have to make sure that we have a backup broadcasting network just in case they drop out on us. At any moment one of the finalists can get sick, therefore making the whole crew sick. In this case if girls suddenly get sick we have to make sure that we have at least one or two backup girls to compete instead such as the runner ups. Judges fallout may be another problem we can face. In this case we just need to make sure that we have a couple backup judges. Working around equipment all day could cause the lighting to fall or the stage to collapse. We have to make sure that the people we hire are experienced workers that have done set ups for either fashion shows or beauty pageants before. We also have to make sure they have medical insurance in case there is an onsite accident.
I agree. I understand that the judges and their team members are all very experienced but I hope that everyone can understand this. It is still a very young age for these shows and we are still trying to find a balance. Anybody that has watched them will tell you the same thing about them. All of the contestants from the event will be back in the office in about 10 days or so. Even though we will make some small changes in our rules for them on a regular basis we still have another option to face the challenges of being on stage. For example if you meet a contestant in his 30’s you are not going to have to worry about them being there all the time to watch the show. However you may have experienced some challenges in the past with a competitor. If you come to an event for a short time during a competition do you really just want a chance to win money and be good luck? And what about a year to get back to your competitive lifestyle, how do you feel that you got back, if you have already experienced it or just not so well? All of our judges have some sort of experience and some experience with the makeup industry. So I would be glad if you would get a chance to talk with our judges so that you can tell everyone how much you enjoyed your time there. Also, if your next makeup competition or event is not your thing try to be on our email list. The judges are probably on their way to your house the next morning and I think everybody will recognize that.
That is not an exaggeration but it does add an experience to your life! My first time doing a makeup competition was the year after I started my job here in Houston (Houston for the time being). I went to the pageant one day in April 2014 to start the pageant. I knew this was going to be a big place and I knew it would take my job as a judge so I started to feel confident at the time. I learned so much that day and I learned from you guys. I was really excited to compete and was already a winner and I started to think about it again when I walked into my hotel room two nights later to get my makeup ready. I had so much fun doing it, and I couldn’t believe I’d done it again. I did a number of great things. When I brought my mother up for her birthday I was already overwhelmed. I knew this was going to be really special. I had just been out with my brother and I had a huge birthday party. When I came home the next day (Friday), I was overwhelmed and I felt so glad to be doing a beauty pageant. When I woke up the next day they had already called me at work asking if I would work that day. My team told me to get my makeup together and I immediately went right to talking to them about how much I loved it. I’m glad I did that. It felt really good being there for them. After I started my family my first makeup competition was in March 2015. I was very excited to compete again but it took many years to do it. After my family moved back to New York (Houston ) and my makeup pageant moved to Houston, I wanted to have a great time and I was also in the process of going to Los Angeles for my wedding. I still love going to LA for weddings and because of the pageant I didn’t lose many pounds. Being a true competitive beauty queen I knew I was going to make it and this was a big help in that regard. I was able to work with someone who had not done a lot of makeup and would not have had the opportunity to compete before. So I wanted to get back in my own skin and I loved competing there because the beauty industry is a really special place and every pageant has a unique way of competing.
