Transport costs money (even if the hospital is a long way to go)
Cost of subscription – some people may not be able to afford
Time of work – if you have an appointment for hospital and you miss one day of work it also means you have lost some of your wages.
Problems Caused –
Some people may not choose to go to their hospital appointments and they will miss their treatment
Childcare
Cost of description are high – having to choose headache tablets for yourself but however to overcome them –
Decisions have to be made
Some hospitals will allow you cheaper parking/in some circumstance maybe free parking spaces can be allowed for certain parking hours
Social services can grant and give you extra money or provide travel passes
Ring and ride can be used but it has to be booked in advance
Geographical Barriers –
Hospitals are a distance away which means you may need to go to a treatment and the travel of cost is going to be too much
Traffic is too much people are going to cancel their appointments/check ups
Childcare problems – children grow up to go to school and her appointment is at 3oclock so who is going to pick up the children as she may be a single parent but however to overcome them –
Hire a childcare – for someone to pick the children up from school or nursery etc.
Talk to your GP/social services
Disability Barriers –
Wheelchair users may find it difficult to access some areas or the hospitals so ramps or lifts may be needed
If your blind you cant follow the lines so you might miss where youre going and if your deaf you cant hear people talking to you so you should talk to your GP/social service to arrange someone who will guide you
Mental disabilities/ mental differences – mental/blind and deaf charities can help you
