Sailing
Sailing P.E. Fall 2015 Course Offerings
Sailing will take place on Cayuga Lake at the Merrill Family Sailing Center.
Class meets once a week for six weeks. You must attend five classes to receive credit.
Attendance is mandatory for the first two classes.
You may do a “make-up” class during another class time, if space is available.
You must be able to swim.
Dress appropriately for central New York weather.
Last day of classes is Sunday October 4th.
Note that the drop deadline is Tuesday September 1st.
Intro to Small Boat Sailing (PE 1480)
Thursday, 2 -5 pm (begins 8/27)
Friday, 10-1 pm (begins 8/28)
Friday, 2-5 pm (begins 8/28)
Saturday, 10-1 pm (begins 8/29)
Saturday, 2-5 pm (begins 8/29)
Sunday, 10-1 pm (begins 8/30)
Sunday, 2-5 pm (begins 8/30)
Students should wear clothing/shoes suitable for getting wet starting the second week.
Intro to Large Boat Sailing (PE 1482)
Wednesday, 2-5 pm (begins 8/26)
Transportation is available from campus. You must be prompt, the van doesn’t wait.
The green sailing van will pick up students at:
West Campus @ Baker Flagpole Bus Stop
9:40 am and 1:40 pm
Performing Arts Center in Collegetown
9:45 am and 1:45 pm
Turn Around Circle side of Robert Purcell Center
9:50 am and 1:50 pm
(Morning pick-ups on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.)
