Strengths
First we start with the strengths. The strengths are the internal elements of the business that contribute to improvements and growth. We have found some strengths for Nokia.
One of the strengths is that Nokia offers a lot of products for all demands. Every class in the population can find a product in the product range of Nokia. Nokias wide product range makes sure they wont miss out on the target group.
Nokia has user-friendly products. Some of the products arent that complicated so they can be used by people who arent handy with mobile phones. Other products have a lot of specifications. These mobile phones are called smart phones. Also Nokia sells accessories customers need for these mobile phones. This is very smart if you look at it in a financial way. By producing the accessories itself, Nokia makes sure that the customers spend their money on their products and not at other companies.
The last strength we have found is the way Nokia gives personality to their products. For example the mobile phones range of the N-set of Nokia. These smart phones were given their own personality. A personality based on business. These mobile phones were produced for the customers involved in the business market.

They are currently aiming their products at a saturated market segment. The market is saturated. This means that the supply exceeds demand. Nokia should make sure that their products have something special, like a better camera. They should focus on technological improvements.
Their wage costs are forever rising. Nokia should find out a way to keep the wage cost the same. They could offer employees bonuses instead of wages that rises. This way Nokia keeps their wage costs the same.
The prices arent based on the target group. Nokia is focused on the ordinary people. However most of the prices arent affordable for this target group. Because of this Nokia will lose their credibility with the consumers. Nokia should change the prices of their products.
Also Nokia needs to do more with after sales. It is important for a company like Nokia who has a lot of customers to keep these customers. This should be possible with after sales. They should focus on repeat business.
Opportunities

Nokia needs to keep on focusing on the technological improvements. The market of mobile phones is constantly changing. The signals on the market need to be constantly monitored.
