Obesity Case
Obesity is a condition in which people become very fat and in a way that is not healthy. Just take a look at a group people anywhere. We are bound to notice a lot of people who are overweight. With bellies leading their way, they strut around night market, the supermarkets and any place that people gather. Their shirt and trousers are too tight and the excess fat bob up and down as they walk about. Besides, having an unsightly body, an overweight person has many other serious problems. It is a common sight to see a fat person huffing and puffing his way up a flight of stairs. If what we see on the outside is bad, the inside story of an overweight person is even worse. The main courses of obesity are overeating, laziness and lack of exercise.
Psychologists and doctors are still discussing why some people overeat. However, the fact remains they do overeat either knowingly or unknowingly. They abuse their bodies by allowing them to grow beyond safe proportions. This is indeed a self-inflicted evil.
Modern inventories have made our lives easier and more comfortable but definitely lazier. The motorcar has made travelling more comfortable and enjoyable. We drive car to work, to play and even to the grocery shop only a stone’s throw away. We allow four wheels to take over the job of two legs. As a result, our physical condition suffers. We become obese, under-exercise and prone to multitude of ailments.
Modern society has also changed a great deal from just a couple of generations ago when agriculture and manual labor were common place.
