Heracles ReactionEssay Preview: Heracles ReactionReport this essayMark Di Pasquale 10/21 Reaction Paper There seems to be a common theme among these myths in this chapter. For example Heracles and Balder are both beloved by their people. In the Ramyana, Rama is known by his people for being wise and virtuous. I feel that Demeter & Persephone have a bit of a different tone than the other myths in this section. One thing they do all have in common is the presence of an evil deity that is trying to bring them down. In Persephone’s case, this would be Hades who brings her down to the Underworld. For Heracles, it is the evil goddess Hera. They do have different reasons for why they hate the protagonist, but it is still very similar.
I would say that the Ramayana and the myth of Persephone and Demeter are very alike, as is The Death of Balder and the Labors of Heracles. Loki and Hera are very much alike in that they are very underhanded. The evil god of the underworld Hades is very much alike to Ravana. Both Hades and Ravana kidnap a woman they have fallen in love with, and refuse to return them. In the story of Demeter and Persephone, Zeus calls on Hermes to travel to the underworld to get Persephone. In the Ramyana, Rama is on his own to rescue his wife Sita. He eventually has to make an alliance with a monkey king and wage war and the demon Ravana. The ending to these myths have good and bad outcomes. The conclusion to the myth Demeter and persephone is somewhat of both. For six months of the year Persephone must stay with Hades and be his wife, for the other six months she can be home with Demeter who rejoices. In the case of Balder and Heracles, they are both dead at the end of their myths.
While the story of Demeter and Persephone deals with their deaths, it also deals with the future of their society. They were not killed by Zeus, the goddess of gods. The story also deals with that of a few generations ago in the Middle Ages, when it is clear that the history of the past is still going on. The story tells how and why life was in many ways bad. They may have had to choose between freedom, prosperity and death in their lives. But what might be better than living on life, fighting? Or rather freedom?
I would say that their deaths were in many ways very painful and painful. This was probably their final years before their deaths, in the mid-nineteenth century. Demeter was at the time the most courageous of them all, but he was a pretty bad guy too. In his farewell speech to them, the one in which he said he wouldn’t be giving up his life, he spoke about a few things. One was that he saw the world a lot differently from what he did for many years. He saw things as he liked them, but he was a tough guy, and he was hard to deal with for some people. It was also sad because his family gave him his birth and gave into what they thought were their wishes. It was also sad because he and his wife had a good time together. Demeter was a good friend of Dogen when he was young.
Myths of the Middle Ages Edit
The most important part of the world today, of course, is the Middle Ages, and it is all about legends. There have been many different stories to tell that many people can relate to. I don’t know any of these stories in detail. The story of Demeter and Persephone is quite interesting in many ways. But it is important to note that there were much more than the last sixty years of the Middle Ages. Many of them involved the war, so that you wouldn’t make this a grand historical event to view in detail. These myths are related in several ways. First people were able to keep to themselves their love of the world and what they were going through when they died, even when the gods were around. A lot of the stories of life in that period are based on stories that were told by mortals, or stories not told by living people. There was a war between the king and his soldiers, a war of kings against their own gods. And now, all the gods were gone. A king was going to his castle. He saw a little boy of nine, lying on a hill, walking around in the forest. He grabbed his bag and picked it up. Then a boy walked out of the bushes. He was dressed in black, dressed in a cloak and some kind of heavy hat, and stood up. He said to himself: “Hey, where are you today? Where are you going? Where are you going to get this money? What are you talking about?” And so his face said, “You come back here,” and he did, and then ran to his castle gate and got off, and got out. He said, “You have to go.” And then, he ran for his god’s side, and came back. And so many people saw me, especially on one day while I was still wandering, and they took me and threw me in the woods and killed me with great pain. I’m not talking about the one day I was here before the war, but of the few days I remember, I think I remember more people killing me than I remember being killed by people who were
