Interpersonal conflict happens in every relationship. Sometimes the conflict is a result of a misunderstanding because of a miscommunication. The movie Hitch is a great example of miscommunication in a relationship. It is filled with different conflicts mainly because of miscommunication between the two main characters.

In the movie Hitch, there was an interpersonal conflict between two people. The conflict was cause due to miscommunication. Communication is the key to any relationship, whether it is friendly or intimate. When you begin a relationship, you need to be able to communicate effectively. Without communication, the relationship could go downhill. (Sole, 2011)

The main characters, Hitch and Sara meet and start a relationship. They form a relationship by talking and laughing and getting to know one another. They talk about almost everything and enjoy their time together. As time goes by, their relationship starts to get intimate, but Hitch leaves out important information that should have been shared from the beginning.

Sara finds out about Hitchs secret from her friend. Her friend was dumped by someone she was having an intimate relationship with because her boyfriend took advice from the “date doctor”. Sara thought that this “date doctor” was helping other men be successful in getting a girl to give in to having sex with them, when really, Hitch helped men ask girls out that they were afraid to talk to. Once her friend told her about the “date doctor” she formed a negative image of him in her mind.

She later finds out that the “date doctor” is Hitch; the guy she was forming an intimate relationship with. She becomes furious because of the negative image of him in her mind, and also because he didnt tell her.
