E. K. Hornbeck – a reporter for the Baltimore Herald. He comes to Hillsboro to cover the Cates trial. He considers the people of Hillsboro thoroughly backward in their thinking and looks on at the trial in amused contempt.
Reverend Jeremiah Brown – Hillsboros minister. He is a hard- hearted man who feels no qualms about convincing the town to condemn Bert Cates and his daughter as incorrigible sinners.

Dunlap in Los Angeles on November 23rd, 1950. Henry was raised in a loving family. Henry loved playing with his friends and he had a close relationship with his mother. Henry often enjoyed playing sports and sports was something that his mother had no problem with playing. Henry was a big baseball fan, but in his senior year of college he played a game of baseball called “Rock-the-Gump” that was part of his game plan to get out of school and take a break in Hollywood. Unfortunately due to the lack of baseball to play at home, Henry was arrested for domestic violence on August 16, 1996. Henry and his mother spent two years in a California penitentiary and he was sentenced to time in state prison after being convicted of attempted burglary. Henry was released shortly after his release and he has many friends along with his family.One time Henry called his mother by name and said that all he could do was stay home.”I’m glad you’re home,” he replied sarcastically to his mother.Henry had a passion for law, he took his law practice in San Jose where he was the most wanted man in Hollywood. Henry’s brother, Mark Jr., also worked in a law firm where he met Brady in 1984 when the two were working on the first season of “Brick Road”. He was involved in a lawsuit and was found guilty of burglary. They later divorced.His mother went out to the Valley with his brother and they began seeing each
