I used to work on both types of organization and I feel I can work without any problems. I worked as a landscape designer in a small design company. Because they had just a few employees, so everyone had to know almost everything. I had specific duty to do, but I had to be ready to do other things when more important or more hurry job came. For example, my routine job was design. When I finished my design schematics, I would send it to a draft man to draft it to computer drawing. But when the draft man had too much work to do, I had to draft the drawing by myself. Besides, when other project team got a hurry project, I had to stop my work or give a part of my time to help them did a presentation. Employees in the office knew everyone. Everyone helped each other and always hanged out together after work. I felt like they was a friend and family more than co-worker.

It was very different from another ex-company, which is a top real-estate company in Thailand. It has 600 employees on headquarter office and more than 1,000 for onsite employees. I worked for headquarter office as the same position as my ex-company, which was landscape architect. I didnt know everyone in headquarter office; I knew just only people who worked in the same department as me. I worked under 3 bosses, but I dont think it was a problem. Although sometimes they gave me too much work, normally they talked to each other and tried not to assign too much work to each subordinates. Compare this company to my ex-company; I can feel the obvious differences. Control, system, communication, structure, style are all different, however I can work very well for both companies.

Pasha:

I worked with a lot of women and they were the most supportive staff I have seen. I saw them in one office, I met their parents, they even saw them in one location too. They got me a job with them. They let me have the office if they are tired or if they are sad. This company still has many employees all over its own offices, they did take them to the same place for about five months to get them started. Some other employees are also here because they want to leave their families.

Pasha:

This company is very hard to go at. Sometimes the boss comes to see you and the employees are here without any help. Sometimes it is really hard, a team can get so bad when everything is getting so bad.

When people in your company are leaving your company and trying to get a job with your company, they want to stay in their parent company. I knew no one because of the ex-company, but I have seen so many companies try to bring in other people by employing foreign employees. Of course I didn’t understand the situation because I worked with my ex-company in China before.

It was a very hard situation to enter. The way I started out, they weren’t that nice employees. Most of the time there were about 10-14 employees and most of the time you could get a position. I tried to keep them because of the fact that they were so caring. They kept waiting for me. I started with two ex-company employees and I always knew that they were nice and were professional and they let me work for them. But I tried to tell them that at first they were leaving their parents, they knew what I was going to tell them. I didn’t want them to come here. I was thinking of how soon it would be a problem for me as we were starting the company and I couldn’t decide whether to leave China or work in Europe. So I made the decision to leave my companies.

My ex-company became my new employer. The fact I didn’t have the right company to continue working in Europe after this new company was formed convinced me to leave my company. I am extremely worried that that will happen.

When your ex-company is leaving there is a chance that you could be hurt, because some companies will not hire you. When I saw that that happens, I knew that there is hope and I hope that these companies will take care of me properly. I am truly sorry that I failed to give enough time to my colleagues. I would rather work here.
