Describe a wish that had come true
“Eeeesshhh! Billy, don’t stay too close with her! You’ll be blind too!” “Oh my gosh! She was blind, let’s go other places to play.” “Hahaha! She was blind, we can take her things without asking…” These were the snide remarks I could hear from the children who were same age with me.

I knew. I was just a little different from other children, I still could sing, play, run, jump and listen just like other children. Little did I wonder why they treated me like this, I was not a good-for-laugh for them! They irked me no matter how hard I tried to deal with them, just like I was an eyesore for them.

How I wished that I could see things! I wanted to see everyone’s face, my mum’s warmth face, my elder brother’s naughty face and those faces who jerked at me!Until I studied in primary school, my situation was still the same. Everyday when I woke up, what came into my sight was only darkness! Opening eye, and closing eye, things were just same. Each time when I heard the laughter from my classmates, tears were stinging my eyelid and I had to try my best to hold them back.

Seeing my dejected face, my mum felt depressed too. My family just had the enough money for the daily outcome since my dad passed away and my mum just worked as a hawker in the market. She did not have the money for me to accept the operation because the payment was a huge sum. I, however, knew the situation in my house, I still had a ray of hope that I could see thing with my own eye…

Until that day, my whole life had a big twist. I was at a medical fair that day. Because of my carelessness, I knocked down the table with a lot of different types of medicine on it. It was then a man came and helped me to get up. “Come and sit here.” He comforted me. From his voice, I could know that he was a young man. He asked a lot of questions
