Cats and Humans physically hold a variety of differences regarding facial look, bone structure, body mass, ear placement, and integumentary system. This cat dissection compares the muscle groups, dental structure, and claws/fingernail structure of human beings and cats, using careful observations and active dissection. The dissection process, guided by an instruction book, gave insight to observations regarding the anatomy of the cat. Specific cuts along the cats body and muscle opened new data to the comparison. Observations included minor details regarding muscle striping, muscle size, regions of large muscle mass, internal organ size, teeth structure, and claw characteristics. Certain areas, pertaining to the muscle group cats use daily, were compared to the same muscle group in humans. The teeth were examined regarding the size, shape, material, and structure. Composition and characteristics between cat claws and human nails were compared thoroughly during the dissection. The anatomy of the cats structure reflect similar characteristics to the anatomy of the humans structure regarding the location of most muscle groups and internal organs. Comparison and analysis of the cat gave insight to how similar cat muscle and human muscle behaved. In general, the muscle groups that exist both in cats and humans are similar in location and function. Differences might be the amount of stress delivered on a specific muscle in a cat compared to the same muscle in the human. Given the similarities and differences presented in the dissection, external and internal organs exhibit an importance in the function of daily life.
