Marketing
What people do in life or what they buy is influenced in one way or another by marketing. Even though marketing can be defined in different ways, the premise is the same: selling goods and services in a way that makes them more appealing. To obtain organizational success, marketing is important to understand the needs of customers, what they value, and which products would be better for them.

Marketing is advertising a product or service. In everyday life, the average person is affected by marketing in almost everything he or she does; what products to buy and where to shop. The television and the radio are also effective marketing tools because so many people use one or the other every day. Companies use marketing to convince or encourage people to purchase their products.

The American Marketing Association (2011) website says that marketing is the activity and the process for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for different people such as customers, clients, partners, and society. Over the last couple years, rising gas prices and the down economy made it difficult for people to go wherever they pleased, whenever they pleased. More car companies began coming out with better fuel-efficient cars at better prices. This helped more families to afford these vehicles and not have to worry about the rising gas prices as much as before because they can go farther for less.

Even though there are better cars on the market to help out with the high gasoline prices, not everyone can afford this luxury. Another luxury that not everyone can afford is eating out at restaurants all the time. A family of four can easily spend $50-$100 for one meal. Companies are creating some of these restaurant quality meals to be available for purchase at the grocery store. Purchasing items for a restaurant like meal at a supermarket can be significantly cheaper than to eat the meal at the restaurant itself. Restaurants and even fast food eateries are creating dishes
