This package consists of software and hardware which includes 15inch touch screen, desktop tower process, cash drawer, integrated card reader keyboard, receipt and report printer, hand scanner plus back up zip discs. The package also comes with 2 day training which will help Heidis to make simple transactions as possible.
Key features include:
Point of sale Ð- this shows perceivable sales function including new clients, casual sales, price checks, simple and quick bill taking and petty cash. all of the systems functions are designed to save time whilst feeding reports of every button press.
Client care Ð- client record cards are used for storing detailed information on all aspects of client/hairdressers relationship. Personal, financial and technical information is stored and used to enhance client care
For the proposed electronic system to function i.e. the appointment book of salon genius i.e. the Client care Ð- which holds client record cards for client/hairdressers relationship, personal details, Heidis need to issue to manually store new customers information on client record cards which is a one off process to transfers information to the electronic appointment book.

The record card is necessary process to transfer to the computer electronically, in order to make to make the full use of the electronic system, basic details such as First name, phone number, and address are double checked by a member of staff with the customer for clear handwriting, correct spellings, correct date of birth important and confirm the details are correct to run the software efficiently and properly.
From there on the appointment book week view will let you review and edit appointments for all employees over an entire work week, day view to see all appointments booked today and the ability to switch back and forth and to different days in the appointment book.
With the software scheduling errors are eliminated to insure that an employee doesnt get scheduled for a service that they dont provide, the software will o allow Heidis to schedule the services that you have selected for that particular employee.
When scheduling an appointment, Heidis and her staff will be able edit the total length of time necessary to perform the service, this is beneficial for clients with very short or very long hair for example. the system also allows Heidis to note the interval time for additional booking availability, which means that while her clients perm or color is processing it can designate that time as open in the appointment book so Heidis can carry out other services I.e. Mens hair cut for example.
Confirming appointments will be easy. The appointment gives Heidis and her staff, the clients phone number at a glance and an area to note that it was confirmed. Copying or moving appointments are just a click away.
Although the feature I have listed, are not required by Heidis need, they will help the smooth running of every day business transaction when a customers books in for a service.
After the client information is inputted to the system by the employees, the information will be stored and accessed in the smart tab design in the following screen shot. Heidis and staff can search with ease for clients from the list or find client information using phone number, client id, first name, last name or combinations of first name and last name. When searching by name Heidis will not have to enter the whole name to find the client she can enter partial first and partial last name and the program will give you a list of matching names.

The System will allow Heidis hairdresser to store an extensive record of clients information. There is an also included optional field that the manager can set up for keeping more information. Each one of the clients has an extensive point of sale history. So Heidis her staff can see what they purchased at any given time and what type of service was performed by which employee. Each service ordered that clients purchase is saved in the system in the clients record.
For example if colour and perm preferences happen to be very important to Heidis clients and her stylists. The software will be able store record of each of Heidis clients colour or perm preferences. There is also built in mailing label reports which will help in Heidis marketing to existing clients. She can market to clients based upon Preference settings set up in her system. That means Heidi can send a flyer to all clients that prefer a certain brand. This will help her attract customers and increase her revenue.
