I think that the Researchers who produced this article provide very good and qualitative info based on the three questions that they asked. The questions they asked were, what factors that led to their first use of stimulants, their motivation for using them, and how members of a fraternity obtained non-medical ADHD stimulant. I also believe that the researchers did well in following the “wheel of social research”. If you look at the wheel you can see that they Cleary defined the problem which was, abuse of non-medical ADHD stimulants by members of college fraternity’s. If you continue through the wheel you see that they gathered a slight understanding of this issue and produced three questions based on their finding. Once they did that they gathered qualitative data from asking 72 male fraternity undergrads. Why this is considered qualitative is because they chose such a small group of people and gathered a lot data from each of them through extensive interviewing. Once they gathered all the data they need used inductive reasoning to provide us with a proper answer to every question, which I think they did a good job of doing. The next thing that is on the wheel is distribution, which they obviously did. Although they did all of the steps in the wheel they did do one out of order, that step was ideas for future research.
