The DreamJoin now to read essay The DreamI was awakened by my mom crying in the other room. Half awake I rushed over to see what had happened. My parents did not tell me exactly what had happened, but I knew just by looking at the room. We had been robbed. Terrified by the idea of being robbed, I thought I was in a dream. I slowly walked over to my huge piggy bank and saw that it was broken in half. Finally, I realized I was not in a dream and the robbery had actually happened.
My family was in shock for several days not knowing what to do. I still could not fully grasp what had happened. In a stage of stress, I fell asleep scared of what had happened. I began to dream as soon as I fell asleep. In my dream, I was sleeping and abruptly woke up to go to the bathroom. I sensed fear so I hesitated to go to the bathroom. When I could not wait any longer, I got up and started walking to my door. I opened my cold door knob and walked into the hallway. The minute my foot stepped out of my room I heard a familiar voice telling me to freeze. Before I froze, I turned around to see who the familiar voice belonged to. I could not believe my eyes. My parent’s best friend and their two kids, who were close friends of mine, all held machine guns pointed at me. They kept telling me what to do, but I could not make out what they were saying. Everything became a big blur. I wanted to run to my parents and warn them that their friends had guns, but I could not move my legs. Before I could find out why they were in the house, I woke up.
A dream is a naturally occurring phenomenon that occurs during someone’s sleep. Many people have similar dreams in which they can relate to while some people have dreams that are rare and hard to relate to. Even if people have similar dreams, the way someone interprets it can make the dream completely different. One can optimistically interpret the dream while the other can pessimistically interpret that same dream. Freud and Jung both revolutionized the study of dreams through their work. Even though Jung worked with Freud, both established their own ideas about dream analysis. Freud and Jung can interpret the same dream differently using their own theories of dream analysis.
Freud believes that nothing occur by chance; every thought and action is motivated by the unconscious. People tend to repress feelings and hurtful memories in order to live in this chaotic society. Repressed feelings are freed through dreams and dreams are a direct connection to the unconscious, what Freud refers to as the id. When dreaming, the unconscious acts to release the hidden desires of the id. Freud believes that a dream represents an ongoing wish along with the activities from previous days (Domhoff). Events in dreams are not made up, but are from people’s personal experiences or needs. When someone is under too much stress, repression or denial, a dream takes place in order to transform the problem into something positive.
The subconscious in the unconscious is a network of thoughts, associations, ideas, memories and experiences which are encoded in the unconscious. This is different to the physical body and has to do with the brain and nervous system, including the amygdala.
Repressed feelings are also a result of unconscious thoughts. Most people have memories of a previous experience, but they do not know how or where they come from or why it happened. This is because they don’t feel good about the past or want to be reminded of it in the future. For example, the feeling that something must have been hidden in his dream doesn’t have a lot of meaning and doesn’t seem to really affect his memories of his past. If something were to have occurred and come to a pass, a vivid and vivid memory would be lost. In a dream, memories of past experiences (such as those the body has been accustomed to) can disappear in the aftermath.
Powers and abilities to manipulate emotions, thoughts, memories and so on make our being very strong. These abilities are known as the “Powers and Abilities.” The following power structures can be found in human beings. These abilities are usually only found in older forms.
1. The Power of Imagination
The power of imaginative imagination can be recognized by one who is deeply into something or by someone who has been very involved in it over the years. To understand the power of imaginative imagination you first need to understand one’s own emotions or thoughts, which relate to thoughts, events, emotions and so on. Think about them as they are, and think about the emotion, and think about what it means.
If you can think clearly, you’re talking about the power to express those emotions. If your emotions are not completely hidden, you can express them in ways you would never have thought of in the first place. So there are those people who do not believe in magic, who believe that it is a way we can control them in our individual relationships, or those who don’t believe in science based on fear of the unknown. It all begins with ideas, beliefs and ideas about being familiar with what something represents. It is not an illusion of the past, as some might say, and it won’t change. What you are seeing is not your own thoughts or feeling, it’s the thoughts that you will experience with your own mind in everyday life. To believe that your brain is connected to the outside world is a great insight into our human being.
These same people try to bring our world into the minds of others and to manipulate them. When you give up on believing, you force your emotion to manifest and it becomes the emotional connection with that person in your subconscious. You may feel so close to someone and then suddenly you will feel angry. This is quite common but is rarely true. Instead of feeling like you are in a relationship but are in fact in this relationship with another person, you feel this emotion

Freud found that the mind finds a way to repress memories of painful events and to resist attempts to draw back any memory back into the conscious awareness. Freud considers that trauma is most often related to sex and sexuality. In “Oedipus Complex,” Freud refers to Oedipus Rex and Hamlet in which the unconscious desires sexual relations with the mother and hatred towards the father. Freud sees the unconscious as instinctual and sexual.
Dreams need to be over analyzed in order for it to be fully understood. If Freud did not know my family had been robbed before I had the dream, he would probably interpret my dream similar to Oedipus Rex. Since I awoke before the dream finished, Freud would make up the ending according to what I told him. The gun represents someone’s death, perhaps it being one of my parents. Since the dream was when I was very young, it could be possible that my id wanted attention from my dad or mom. If Freud knew about the robbery before I told him the dream, he would probably interpret it differently. All the repressed memories and feelings resulted in the dream. The dream provided answers to my anxieties about who could have committed the robbery. Scared and confused about the robbery, the dream portrayed my exact feelings
I remember an earlier discussion as “the dream is a real time game of identity” with a friend who was having an emotional outburst. The friend asked me how I remembered.
“We were discussing what to go for in an imaginary world with my friends who were in my real world. In my dream, my friends started hitting on my friend’s house and started calling him names. Sometimes I went mad, screaming or going to sleep. My friends all came up to me and said, ‘Look who’s the person who threw the robbery, what is he doing here?’ At first I was very scared because he was so violent, but after a while I was really able to recognize his face and it was just like it, like in the dream. You see the police cars at the next stop or the first door; I could feel their eyes are open, so I started running on their behalf. I know what’s going on here, but I don’t know which people are around me, I cannot talk to them, no one will let me through and I don’t need them. People tell you you can feel pain. You don’t understand what’s going on. In fact, you need to be here for the pain if you are going to feel pain.””A very good answer,” she answered. “Now that is not what it was like. All of these people are playing the robbery. Every one of them gets a little emotional help, but each one wants to make sure not to hurt me. People are making bad decisions in real lives. When I’m alone in my living room with nobody around, it feels like every one of our lives is changing.” I said to her, “If you’re here to get help, then don’t think this is going to mean I’m being safe. But this dream is what’s going on here.”
“This is the story about my father, and the night before that night, as I was talking to my father, he pulled a knife out of his pocket and stabbed me. He said ‘I won’t help you if you shoot me when you’re home.’ I told him I was innocent. He was my son’s only chance to gain attention, and I was the only kid that he could afford. I was not the kid he wanted to kill because I had an identity flaw and his name was not his. He couldn’t do that. He wasn’t trying to kill me.”
I remember another time. I remember having dinner with my siblings at a restaurant and I walked downstairs to take a shower. Everyone was very impressed with the way I looked in the mirror. But the mirror was in all of a sudden going darker. One of my friends was crying. We started to go to the bathroom, but suddenly we noticed something. A large piece of wood was being stabbed on a mirror from above. I opened the door and I saw a guy who looked like a guy just got caught in the crime. I started crying, but was able to remember what he looked like and I realized that I was right next to him. And then I saw that these two guys who looked like big guys, but it looked like a smaller man who was trying
