After everyone removes his or her values and standards, the world could be a carefree place, and being free from care would be a great occurrence. Values and standards keep everyone from being themselves. If only people could learn not to judge one another and just be open to everything, everyone would unify. This would be impossible though since everyone does not believe in being relaxed. Values and standards affect every aspect of a person’s life.

Values affect a person’s decisions and behavior. When a person makes decisions that affect his or her future, values are greatly considered. For example, if someone is hard working, he or she will choose a future path that challenges and satisfies the natural drive, and that person’s values are definitely focused on hard work. Values will also affect how someone behaves. Since behavior can be wild or agreeable, people’s values determine which way they choose to act. Values force a person to act the way that he or she does. Every action is subconsciously determined by the values that a person has created for himself when sometimes people should act off of impulse, and people usually do good things on their own. People are controlled by their values, which could be good or bad, but values affect more than just the person that has them.

Values and standards affect the friends that a person has. People with the same values find each other and stick together because they partake in the same activities. Having the same beliefs and same values as someone else helps a person not to be all

alone. Not only values, but standards also affect the type of friends that someone has. Some people associate only with others who they believe are good enough or who meet certain standards, which is definitely not right. It is okay to be friends with everyone as long as the person is not influenced by everyone else. Standards do affect the friends that people have and it is judgmental, but people do it, and it affects everyone around them.

Standards of society affect the way that some people act. They are worried about falling into certain categories instead of being themselves. Then people are not thinking for themselves and just following the crowd, which is never the right idea. Also, everyone is afraid to be themselves because society treats people in a way that disgraces the people that are
