Basketball is a sport between 2 teams, consisting of 5 players each played on a rectangular hard-court
The objective of each team is to win by scoring more points than the opponent
Game consists of 4 quarters, 12 minutes each
No game will end in a tie ÐÐŽV if both teams are tied after regulation, 5-minute overtime will begin until there is a winner
Equipment includes a basketball, jerseys, shorts and basketball shoes

Guard
Point guard
Shooting guard
Forward
Power forward
Small forward
Center
Team have certain number of substitutions and timeouts
To score, the team must shoot the basketball in the opposing teamÐЎЦs net using the following methods
Free throw (worth 1 point each, obtained from fouls)
Field goal within the three-point line (worth 2 points each)
Field goal outside the three-point line (worth 3 points each)
To move the ball, you must pass the ball to a team-mate or dribbling it
When dribbling, it will end if a player does the following:
Touches the ball simultaneously with both hands
Permits the ball to come to rest while he is in control of it
Tries for a field goal
Throws a pass
Touches the ball more than once while dribbling, before it touches the floor
Loses control
Allows the ball to become dead
You canÐЎЦt travel with the ball (running with the ball without dribbling or passing)
When the team throws it in to his team-mate on their teamÐЎЦs court, they have 24 seconds (shot clock) to move the ball and attempt a field goal ÐÐŽV if they do not score by the end of 24 seconds, the opposition will get possession
You canÐЎЦt pass it back to the defensive zone once you have passed halfway ÐÐŽV this is a backcourt
