Well Case
Dont walk away from your group because you could get attacked. The Native Americans might be calm when you are in one place but they will attack you when you are alone. You might also be found by the native wild life like rattlers. They are snakes that rattle if you get too close. Or you could be heard or seen by mountain lions, wolves, and bears.
Don’t ever forget some extra wheels. On the Oregon Trail you will find that the roads are very rocky. During the rain the roads get very muddy and your wheels get stuck. If they get stuck and you don’t have an extra wheel you are stranded. So don’t forget.
Don’t try anything risky like shooting when you hear an Indian howl. It will make you look crazy. Another risky thing would be to yell at people for nothing. If you did you could get shot or beat up. Never go off trail you don’t know what is out there and the things out there are watching you.
Do get the best supplies. With the best supplies you might not have to stop every few hours. Three and a half months could turn into three or two and a half months. Always make sure you have some extra water and food. With the best supplies you may never need to stop for water every few hours.
Do bring a gun. With a gun you can not only protect yourself but feed yourself, animals, and the family. Some of the things you can eat are bison, buffalo, rabbits, and deer. Without that you could go into malnutrition. So don’t forget to bring you gun.
Do bring tools because if you are stuck and you need to patch a hole or something you need tools. You are going to need to go through a river or two right? So you need to build a raft and take it apart. So make sure you bring tools.
