Organisational culture has also been classified into four functional components which are as follows: organisational identity; collective commitment; social system stability; and sense-making device as researched by Kinicki and Kreitner (2002). Collective commitment is enabling employees to view their achievements and efforts as a collective whole instead of individually recognised. The real estate industry doesn’t tend to adopt this approach. Social system stability is creating a comfortable and positive work environment that quickly solves conflict and effectively manages change. This social system is a desired but unattained goal in the Australian political environment. Sense making device allows employees to make sense of their environment thereby allowing adjustments in their workplace attitude to encourage better assimilation.
