Background and Brief Statement of Need
The planning and organization of a wedding marks the most important date in a couples life. This day is a momentous occasion, and has to have all details in place for a perfect day. For this to happen there has to be careful and precise planning involved. The wedding involves much time spent on researching for that perfect person to put this whole occasion together. This could very well be the most crucial decision to make regarding the wedding. This will very well be the time to get a project manager in the picture to help to vamp out all the details and help to create and design how the day should run. Writing all the information down can help to reduce the risk of pressures and stress, which can build up from the approaching day. We all know if you ever planned a wedding, the wedding day could be two years away and it would feel like a week away. This process can also help with the finance portion of the wedding planning, by outlining the expenses which are expected to be accommodated. The first key concept to remember is to set deadlines and finance limits when writing a proposal. This will help to ease the stress and worry for the couple, so they can concentrate on what matters the most, which is their wedding day. “The absence of a clearly defined project plan consistently shows up as the major reason for project failures,” (Gray & Lawson, 2005, p. 118). When one decides not to have a well-constructed plan in place, which outlines the budget for the occasion, and how vital the plans should be organized, this could cause havoc on a special day, and ruin one of the most memorable day in a persons life.
