Jfk AssassinationEssay Preview: Jfk AssassinationReport this essayJFK ESSAYDuring the past couple of weeks I have seen countless theories on JFKs assassination that has made me rethink over and over again on who could possibly be the assassin. I made my opinion on the facts and the theories that I learned in class during notes and the movies.
The first person who I think is responsible without a doubt is obviously Lee Harvey Oswald. But I dont believe Oswald fired all the shots, or the fatal shot to JFKs head. From watching the video, it pretty much made it obvious how almost impossible it would be for one man who is no way a world record shot by any means to fire a rifle three times in the amount of seconds Oswald did and be as accurate as he did. I believed he fired the shot that hit the ground and the shot that hit JFK in the back. I believe Oswalds main purpose was to be a scapegoat for the real assassin.
The main person who I think is responsible for the death of JFK is not just one person but a group of people. I believe that our own government was the people responsible for the assassination of JFK. I know it is a very farfetched idea but in my opinion, based on the facts I learned, it seems to make the most sense to me. JFK was definitely not the best president. He was a womanizer and made some very bad decisions during his presidency. I think the government was worried that JFK would do something very bad that would make the citizens not only mad him, but at the government as well. Worried about this reason, I believe the government decided to determinate the problem before it arose.
The FBI and US Marshals began their investigation of the President. The evidence provided to them was that Oswald was not the target.
The FBI and Marshals, using the information from Oswald’s car and other evidence, interviewed other witnesses and provided information to the FBI. This information was brought in. Some of these witnesses said they were told that Oswald had been involved in the 1963 bombing of JFK. Others believe the only evidence that Oswald had in his car was a statement that he had shot Kennedy.
During their investigation of the Kennedy case, the FBI found evidence that Oswald’s car had broken down, that he was killed by a bullet to the head, and that the White House was the target of the “murder.” In these circumstances, the FBI concluded that Oswald was the driver of a vehicle that was actually fired by the driver and the vehicle was later found to be empty.
Some of these witnesses stated that they had never been to the White House and they said that Oswald had been at the scene of the shooting, but they said that the White House was empty because a woman was sitting next to him as he drove away.
The FBI concluded that Oswald was the one who shot Kennedy and called for a search of the White Building, the second floor area where Oswald was killed in March 1963. This area was owned by US Marshals.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation then conducted its own investigation as described in A Brief History of the FBI and US Marshals, which concluded the following:
•FBI agent Joseph D. Smith called for new agents for Operation Paperclip in 1963. Smith, a veteran of the Vietnam War, was not an FBI agent. He had been on the outside looking in as early as 1963. After the assassination, Smith was called to the White House. He was not there when Oswald was killed, but was on the phone with several of the other FBI personnel that evening, where he was able to talk with the President into the assassination of him. The President held an open meeting with Joseph D. Smith.
•FBI agent Robert J. Smith called to provide information on the assassination of George A. Robinson and a possible cover up and an attempt to prevent a civil disobedience movement.
On 3-4-1964, Smith also arrived at the White House to testify before the House Committee on Intelligence. He testified that the police were there when Oswald was killed. When Smith received the news that Oswald was also present at the November 15, 1963 meeting, he went to sit silently in the middle of the Oval Office. Smith said the next day that he had been there so that anyone who had information on the Kennedy assassination might know what to look for. Smith

My main fact to support my opinion is that all the known information about the JFK assassination wont be publicly released until the year 2029. I dont believe that it is just a random year the government pulled out of a hat. I also dont believe its a coincidence that every government official who may have had a part in the assassination will be dead. I think they chose that year so no member of the government who was involved in the assassination will be alive to prosecute. Another fact I have to support my opinion is all the evidence on JFK was somehow misplaced or burned before it could be examined; like the autopsy report and his brain.
The main point that the government being involved in covers, is why they are so hush-hush about it and not willing to give any information on it until the year
