For many people, the process of dying involves weeks, months, even years of pain and suffering. For some the pain may reach an intensity which drugs cannot satisfactorily overcome. Even where pain can be controlled, distress is often caused by loss of control over bodily functions. So apart from fearing the pain of death, there is even more common dread of sinking into helplessness and total dependence on others over their final phase of life.
Imagine youЎ¦re a patient suffering from cancer, you have done all diagnoses but in the end youЎ¦re not cured. Nothing can be done, you are waiting to die. At the same time the physical pain is with you. You may want to drink a cup of water but as you drink it, you vomit blood. How would you people feel being this person. There is also more pain. Emotional Pain. Every time you see your family and friends visiting you, you see their face all dried because of the frequent tears that have all been experiencing. Your heart aching and wanting it to stop. Euthanasia is the only way to solve this problem. It is a way of painless death and to eliminate this heart ache not only from you but also your family and friends. Yes, they may be really sad, but by dying more quickly, it gives them more time to bring themselves up and adapt back to their environment.
