The second co culture is the gay, lesbian. bi-sexual, and transgender. One of the main things this culture is fighting for is equal rights. Which they have the basic rights of not being discriminated against, however the one they are fighting for is the right to be married like a heterosexual couple would be able to do. This culture also has a lot of festivals gay pride festival. There are a lot of symbols of the GLBT community. And some of them are
Rainbow Pride Flag
Pink triangle: the symbol worn by homosexuals during the reign of Adolph Hitler to label their orientation in the ghettos and concentration camps.
Black Triangle: Once emblazoned on the uniforms of lesbians and prostitutes by Nazis in the concentration camps, the black triangle is now worn to honor the women previously prosecuted.
Lambda sign: The 11th letter of the Greek alphabet, Lambda has long been a symbol of the LGBT community since 1970 when The Gay Activist Alliance chose the Greek letter “L” to signify liberation.
