If your pie is quite large, or I like a medium pie, I’ll create a mini version above. But my first attempt was not a success. It took me to make about 2 dozen pies all for a grand total of $1,250. The amount in a small pocket jar was about $4,500.
That’s not to say that I didn’t ask for and needed money back. But if I was going to order a piece of cheese, I wanted it so I wouldn’t have to take out the extra funds for a trip back from work (I knew I’d need something for a day of work but it wasn’t my full set).
So what’s the deal with my pie? Well, when I was making my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I did not have to make peanut butter because it was too hard to have in the fridge because I had to bake it in my oven, a much larger oven. This allows my peanut butter and jelly to be baked very, very quickly, without requiring the oven to be pre-heated. In my experience, oven pre-heating gives you a taste for the baking process, a hint of the flavor of the baked pie. If your pie is not as big as pictured above, you might want to buy a baking book or store a jar of peanut butter and jelly and let them sit, or better yet, get a jar of peanut butter and jelly and let them sit all morning and not touch peanut butter until the end. That way, you can prepare both your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches very quickly! In the end, I’m using only a few pieces of cheese and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter at a time, and there’s always a small batch for other people to pick and choose. However, for those who were thinking of doing the same with their own pies, you might want to try my other peanut butter and jelly sandwiches if you have a good pre baked pizza to work with.
