Puberty can be a difficult time for adolescents. What are some of the challenges they face?
Puberty is the period of sexual maturity occurs, and the reproductive organs become functional. This happensto both male and females by the appereance of secondary sexual characteristics such a growth of the breast, pubic hair, and the first menstrual period in girls, and facial hair, pubis hair, and depening of the voice. For both boys and girls acne can become a serious issue, that can lead to self esteem issues, they start to grow hair under their armpits also. Puberty is the time od life when the child begins to feel liberated.
How and when is peer pressure harmful? Can it ever be helpful? Why?
In my opinions peer pressure is harmful anytime and individual feel like they have to do something to impress others or to fit in. I feel that in most casesof peer pressure it will involve something that is trouble or could lead to trouble. This type of peer pressure in my opinion is harmful to any one involved. However I also feel that that there is some forms of good peer pressure, for instance when you are being pressure for something good. Say you are being pressured by classmates to join the debate team, they use encouraging words, and nice saying to get you to join. Once you join you realize just how good you are at debating and maybe even win a few debates. It boosts you self esteem, and will een look good on a college application. Peer presur that benefits you is a good thing
What types of changes occur in the brain in late adulthood?
Over the years, many of us wull loose some brain cell through natural causes. By late adulthood loses due to attrition could amount to 5-10% of our brain mass. Some things you may see happen in our later adulthood years are as follows; dementia, alzheimers disease, strokes, changes in memory, mood, motor abilities, and sleep pattern. All of wich can impact our daily living activities, housing abilities, and much much more.
