People of all races have the right to vote. People like Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. marched for us to be able to vote. Now that we have
that right, why not use it? You should not vote by a persons color or
how someone acts when they want you to vote for them. Vote for
someone who has good ideas; a person who has confidence in
themselves and their job; and how someone can help the economy and
not someone who will just sit around and do nothing.
If you go out and vote, do not think it will not help because every vote counts. Maybe some people will not vote because they just do not want to or think it is a waste of time. If no one in your family votes, do not let that stop you because the power of one vote can change anything.
To me voting is important because before African Americans did not have the right to vote, but now we can make changes. One vote by anybody is saying, ” Hey, I am making a change, why wont you try it?” Everybody may not want to vote, but that will never stop me from believing I can change things. When I reach the age of eighteen I will still believe that I can change something with just one vote, I have faith that everyone else will at least believe or vote to make this world a better place.
