Social class is an important factor in determining people’s lives. Whether they are rich or poor or in between the social class a person lives in can determine their happiness and how meaningful it is. It even can determine the future of the people and what kind of people they grow up to be. However, everyone has different goals in life and different things that make them happy. However, money isn’t always everything to all people. Social class is an important factor in life.
Social class is the different groups in society usually relating to economic wealth. People considered in the lower class are people who live in poverty and make less then average money. These people can barely afford the necessities of life such as food, clothing, and shelter. They can almost never buy anything considered a luxury. Because of this, lower class people are the unhappiest people most of the time because they can’t enjoy their life and struggle just to survive. They feel like their lives are meaningless and not important. It’s hard for lower class families to get out of poverty and get ahead because they may lack education, skill, or just opportunity. And most likely kids growing up in a lower class family will fall to the same fate as their parents. This leads to a majority of lower class people heading toward a violent and criminal life. Lives of lower class people are very sad disheartening.
Then there is the other side of the spectrum, the upper class. People in the upper class are wealthy people who make higher then average money and are well off. Some of them became this way by making the money themselves and others were luck and born into it. These people can easily afford the necessities of life and usually try to show off their wealth with expensive accessories such as clothes, cars, houses, and jewelry.
