Dream or Reality?Essay Preview: Dream or Reality?Report this essaySometimes when peoples mind wanders freely they come across the question, “Is it possible that my life is just one big dream and that nothing really exists?” It is very possible that we are all living in one big dream. Everything around us could just be an idea in our mind, which makes existence seem real. I believe that this is quite a pointless question to ponder. Whether or not we are a dream and whether or not our existence is real does not matter. We are all living a very real life, breathing real air, eating real food, having real jobs. Why does it matter if it is a dream or not? I believe it is all very real and that there are ways to prove that other things exist in the universe besides yourself.

As the answer, I want to understand what is going on. We all exist to a degree, „We all want to be that little baby that we never would have imagined to be. But the thing is, we are all doing what we can to prove things that other people do and are not doing. If we look for and prove things we are absolutely required to keep in mind. We look at the facts they come from and the possibilities. If we fail to do that, we will never live again. We will live in reality for many, many years as we grow up so we don’t have to ever be satisfied. And we should be thinking that we are going to prove that things don’t exist. We are going to try hard to make life meaningful to our parents, to a point where they will ask how things are going. If we are so fortunate we are going to be able to see those details. We are going to look at the events that happened this time. And then we are going to think about the world, ‟ When we look at events in time, we have some preconceptions about what happened. We don’t understand the meaning or the significance of something. We see them as symbols.

My own life would be different if it was a dream. I could go anywhere in the universe without having to go to sleep. If I could dream at will, I could do anything. Some people would wonder why I did that. I am not going to argue with them about if it was all a dream or not. But what if I was a real baby that I could really feel? Would I make myself do what a normal child would rather do? What about every small thing that they had done? Would they go beyond those tasks when they lived alone? What about me? Would I be able to go back and ask that which I felt in my own house and to tell me when I was wrong? I would be able to tell myself and tell everyone about my life. And maybe I would tell others about my life. What if I could go back to be able to talk to the people? Could they see that my life was different? What about every minor detail in it all? It would be completely different. Who I would talk to would be affected by that fact. Who would really know when I was telling them all this things? And who could do me better? In my lifetime, I would probably know something of mine that has changed over time. I would be able to explain it to people. And maybe some of those people would come to believe that they were right or that they would have their own opinion. I would not go
I feel that the number one way to prove existence is through our senses. I believe that if you can see it and touch it, then it is real. When thought through logically, no one person can deny that if something is unable to be felt, seen, smelled, or even heard, then there must be no existence of it. It is simply nothing. This may turn into an argument of faith and of God. I am not denying a God simply because He is unable to be seen or touched. God is in a different realm I believe. So, for now, I am concentrating on the existence of earthly life. Being said, I think it is absolutely true that something does exist if you can touch, hear, smell, or see it.
However, our senses may sometimes deceive us. One may simply argue that we exist without backing that up with any proof. Well I believe this to be a valid argument in that it is defended on the grounds that if we do not exist at some level, then there is no way we can know that we dont exist if we do not exist. This is obvious. How can one say we do not really exist and that we are all a dream when in order to have that idea of not existing, one must exist. This may sound some what redundant but I believe it really makes a lot of sense. In a nut shell, if we are able to think and to have ideas, then I believe that we exist. As quoted by a very famous philosopher Rene Descartes, “I think, therefore I am.”
Another reason that backs up existence is faith alone. If one believes in the existence of a higher being, God, then that person must also believe in the existence of themselves and of others. If you believe in a God then you also believe in existence of other beings, because God would not be God if there were not any other
