FEAR.
Fear is such a word which means differently to everyone. Everyones fears are different as everyone is different .
Fear is distinguished by experiences, by actions and by peoples thoughts. It may happen that we are scared of something merely by the fact of others experiences.
-One fear I have is of cats. I cant explain to you when it started but as far back as I remember cats terrified me. Just the sight of them sends shivers down my spine. The other day when I arrived home from work I found a cat in front of my gate, I panicked, I didnt know what to do, it stared at me with its eyes and I was terrified . I finally went inside through the back gate and kept watching if the cat was behind me. When I see the cats eyes staring at me I feel as though it will pounce on top of me and hurt me. They stare continuously at people as though they are observing their target.
My mother was also scared of cats and maybe that is why I am too. As I said fear is sometimes instilled into us, in this case because parents are ones support so whatever they tell us we believe. The same goes for dogs. A dogs bark terrifies me.These two animals are a no go zone for me.
-I also fear being shouted at, I aim to be the best that I can be in everything that I do and when Im being questioned about my doings it aggravates me
-I fear speaking in public, mostly because of peoples reaction to what I say, or wear. I am very conscious of people looking at me.
I fear being mugged or robbed. I always look around at home to see if someone is hiding and will attack me. I have dealt with that after losing my mother .
Throughout each day we have good thoughts and bad thoughts: a remembrance of a happy time we had with someone, an anticipation of something fun were going to do this evening; or a bad memory of when we felt we were wronged which we cant seem to prevent dragging ourselves through again and again, or the over thinking of violent thoughts in reaction to an action of insult in the present. What we continually forget is that most of our lives occur in our minds, and we have control over our minds. We dont have to be unhappy. If we are unhappy, if we are plagued with bad thoughts, it is because at some point we retreated to that punishment, which we dont deserve (we forgive others much more generously than we forgive ourselves
