Personal Responsibility
Instead of taking responsibility for our actions, we tend to place blame on others. People need to learn that placing blame upon others for your actions is actually being irresponsible and only hinders your goals. Personal responsibility can be taught, but it’s a learned behavior that helps you learn that no matter what happens in life, you are responsible for the outcome.
Personal Responsibility
Personal responsibility is taking responsibility for your own actions and accepting the consequences, be it negative or positive. Admitting my mistakes, making an attempt to correct those mistakes, living in a way that others are not harmed by my actions and understanding I have an obligation to be a successful citizen are some of my own personal responsibilities at this time in my life. Being personally responsible can be hard at times, but I must continue to keep moving forward.
College Success
Personal responsibility is a huge part of daily life and college success. In order to have college success, you must attend class, complete assignments, study for exams and do essay papers that you may not particularly enjoy doing. All of these require time management skills. If you choose to go out with your friends instead of staying home to do your work, it is not your friends’ fault that you didn’t get to complete your assignments. It is ultimately your personal responsibility to be success in life and college.
Unfortunately, to this point in my life, failure has been my only success. Even though I have attended college in the past and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science degree, I never used that degree to help get ahead in life. I take full responsibility for my actions in not deciding to use my degree to get a job. I made the choice to find
